Single male and clubs...

Hey all. I wasn't too sure where to put this so thought I'd stick it here.

I'm a single male and tempted to visit a club on my own. I've only ever had 1 on 1 meets because I am quite self conscious and shy at first because I don't have the best body. With me feeling like this is it best for me to avoid clubs or just suck it up and go?

I had the same reservations, but took the leap recently and loved it.

The clubs I have been to have been great, lots of different people and all friendly.

You can take things at your own pace with no pressure from anyone.

I love the clubs and love the single guys that go . If you have the right attitude you will be fine.

OP every time i have been to a club there has been people of all ages, shapes and sizes.

Don't let your body shape put you off going, it really won't matter.

If you are self conscious i would suggest not visiting a dress down club for your first time. Check out the clubs near you on here - they all have links to their websites.

We were both self conscious the first time we went, but there really are people of all shapes and sizes. All I would say is that when you go, try not to be a wallflower and mingle a bit. Go without any expectations and enjoy

I am the same now and visited many clubs. I personally like dress down clubs as i think.everyone is equal that way. The main thing is yo be social chat relax and make friends enjoy your time and good luck

Don't worry about the body stuff I felt the same when we first went loads of women have super hot bods and it's easy to feel inferior everyone is usually really nice in clubs and very chatty you will have a great time good luck

You have one of the best clubs on your doorstep - townhouse in the wirral. They have a special induction night on a wed see their website for details. You stay the whole night. If you like it you maybe offered a membership. If not nothing lost.

There are lots if options - I work behind the bar in a club and assure you we see all different body shapes and personalities - all of whom can have fun if they carry the right attitude

Not true. Townhouse prices for a single guy is really reasonable. Also cupids events do cheaper entry for guys.

Absolutely.

Albeit mostly outside the UK but clubs are almost exclusively our scene. As said above, the people are all shapes, sizes, and ages. Just go with an open mind and (initially at least) not too much expectation and you should be fine.

As an example on the body issue, I remember one of our rare visits to a UK club last year.

The place was pretty quiet and we were almost ready to give up and leave. While we were finishing our drinks we got chatting to the guy next to us at the bar. He was, let's say, a larger guy and usually the Mrs would not have been interested. However he was chatty, funny, and very good company. After about half an hour we took him upstairs and she had a good session with him which they both thoroughly enjoyed.

I think you'll gain more confidence from going to a club. If you are polite and no-pressure, and treat it as you would any other social situation you stand more chance. You don't have to be the rampant, loudest person in the room!

Great club! Run by wonderful people, fantastic facilities and doesn't rip single men off, however has high standards of etiquette that all are expected to follow. Other clubs could learn alot from this approach.

People in club scene all know each other and reputation goes a long way, and also be willing to wait. Some couples will play with single guys when they are in the mood, so I say go have a laugh have a drink talk to people and remember condoms

So true Mike! Also if you are not for that particular couple then they may know the perfect couple or girl for you. People do talk on the scene. I can't understand those who behave like dicks.....their reputation can be trashed very quickly by throwing their toys out of the pram. Alternatively the good guys are having fun.
