Hello one at all.

I'm curious on peoples ideas of how not to get in the way when I have my naps at clubs? I've been very lucky with the clubs I've attended in not having an issue with this.

I currently try and find an as far out of the way corner I can, obviously not within potential rooms for couples to play in.

Also, any ideas for a fun sign that I could prop up? As I'm sometimes poked awake by people to see if I'm ok, which puts me back to square one and I have to nap for longer.

Thank you for reading.

Well clubs like chameleons have a 'hotel' as part of the same building so just hire a room for your trip and you'd be sorted.

Nice idea hee hee. A bit of humour is always a good thing, and stops any from worrying about me. I like it

Thank you.

Is there a reason why you still have to take naps at your age?

No need to hate on napping, I love a good nap, but some places are inappropriate for a nap. I once napped whilst driving, not a good idea.

Can i ask though is the napping tied into your hearing? I know deadness can stem from some illnesses

No one is hating on it.. whatever that means..

We are merely curious as to why the OP falls asleep at inappropriate times..

He may have narcolepsy but that shouldn't stop him going to clubs

That made me chuckle

Thank you everyone for replying.

Some of it is from my deafness yes,I become mentally fatigued from extensively lipreading people, I can last about 10 - 15 minutes on busy nights then it takes an hour or two so to recharge. Coupled with having CFS, I just burn out all the faster.

I enjoy the social aspects when I'm able to understand anything going on. So I know I can come across as stand offish when I'm tired, so some humour and a ready smile I think is needed.

Happy to answer questions.

Thats actually really interesting I wasnt aware lip reading was so draining and can understand with the cfs how bad it must then be.

I think its great that you aren't letting it put you off going to clubs

Best I can describe is hold out a book/magazine that you can "just" read and bounce it around as much as a human head moves when talking. The focus you expand can be massive at times.

I think that works.

I got you! Ive spent a lot of time since i was 12 with someone who is almost deaf (limited hearing) so he lips reads so i always try to be clear and concise and look at him not move around lots
