Feeling guilty

My wife's in Australia and a conversation via here led to me looking into laser hair removal.

As ever, I'm impulsive and called the hospital. An email later and I booked my consultation and patch test.

Only then did I message my wife to ask if it's ok

My defence; when I was doing this she was asleep on the other side of the world so wouldn't have been able to reply if I'd asked sooner.

She has replied now and has reservations but says I can look into it. She's used to saying stuff like that and I just go for it.

Thoughts? Should I go stand in the corner?

Youve only really booked to look into it though, havent you... not spent your life savings. If its something thst means alot to you she should be all for it

I'd love to never have to shave again.

I guess I haven't signed up yet. I have an appointment though and agreed to pay for that and the patch test.

I'm not looking forward to not shaving beforehand. I don't do stubble.

I have had laser hair treatment (hurts like a muther udder), started in 2012 and had to top up this year- brill! However, never had to pay for consultation and patch test

Make sure you shop around, it is expensive, but shouldn't require life savings!

Obviously after you've had persmission.

Permission has now been granted and my desire not to have facial hair seriously out weighs my worry of it hurting.

My tattoo was pretty damn painful in some ares but I wanted it so I just laid there and took it.

I'd be interested to hear of other people's experiences and the results.

Someone close to me had laser facial hair removal and got badly burned. It's all healed now but make sure you really check out who is doing it if that's what you might be planning?

Oh and he will have paid top money for it too.

I'm going to Exeter's Nuffield hospital. It was recommended to me and I'm assured they are very good.

Up North

I had to shave as close as I could for my laser hair removal. Pain wise it was okay. Just felt very hot at times.

Hair not completely gone though. A lot thinner and sparse.
