So last night I had a dream about my grandad visiting me in my flat. He was coming down the stairs and was near to the bottom when a neighbour pushed past him and said "move out of the way, stupid old man".

I called him up on it and said that is no way to speak to him and he was quite rude and my grandad was near the bottom of the stairs.

I was dreaming, but was feeling angry and frustrated, but held back. He then went on further to insult me and my grandad and I lost it, and started to punch him, but I was not causing him any harm.

Do you ever get those dreams that leave you frustrated?

Like you want to fight, but nothing is happening?

Could just be me then

Two things can sometimes cause it. One is simply that when asleep you are partially immobilised by your brain or you would flail about acting out your whole dream.

The other is some other frustration in your life meaning your actions are feeling ineffective, your dream can be a reflection of that.

I sometimes dream that I need to get somewhere quickly but I just can't walk or run fast enough. Very frustrating
