BEING WARNED BY FAB

I have a few times been warned by fab for having the complete right to confront abusive members who have sent me heinous and quite frankly obscene violent mssges. Id like to ask fab to justify theyre policy of 'just block them nxt time or ul be banned' mssge. To confront abusive members is to call out the misogynist violent _iews of predatory men (a small percentage here) or otherwise its a justification to them to continue thier offending behaviours. By blocking them or deleteing theyre profiles they will just make new ones but also i think it should be at the discretion of admin to read threads properly and make the right choice in these matters. We,the aggrieved partys have the right to defend ourselves against abusive members and not be warned for doing so. Calling out abusive members should be encouraged as it is now the norm in society online to be a cunt at will with no percievable punishment or shaming

Whilst I agree with your right to 'confront' abusive people I don't myself. I refuse to even waste my time or let them think they are even worth a reply if they're people like that.

no naming and shaming. Im merely pointing out to them that mssging online a total stranger abuse is unacceptable and that im truelly glad women are slowly stopping mateing with men like them thus within 50 years they will be extinct from the gene pool

Your quite right. This is not a site for abusers and they should be forced out by reporting or shaming. They spoil it for everyone.

A close friend just left fab citing this as one of her main grievances with Fab.

If some is an abusive idiot in their messages you should be able to shout back at them without fear of a ban. I think the system is sometimes weighted to the idiots as the 'block and move on' approach doesn't get rid of that user.

I think if an abusive message is sent, the recipient should be able to pass out on to admin who instantly ban that user. There will always be a way around it by just signing up again under a new UN, but if you're constantly being a dick and getting banned wouldn't the lure of Fab disappear quite quickly?

Admin/mods are volunteers and don't have the time to read every thread or police FAB for you I'm afraid.

You have the tools available to help yourself against like blocking and reporting.

But sadly if someone reports you first then sometimes you also will recieve a timeout or ban even if you think you have done nothing to deserve one?

Its how it is and its upto you to use the tools available to block report etc as the mods can't police every thing that transpires.

It has importance when they have never been called out and then (as seen on telly today) a man in a van abuses a woman on a bicycle and touches her because HE Has never been called out on his behaviour. I shall continue to mssge back and if it earns a ban then im sure another sex site will welcome me

She didnt bollock him.if u see the film she remained composed and told him to leave her alone. She then follows him and pulled his wing mirror off but hey,this thread is about abusive men on here. However i do feel women to be a little too submissive when it comes to predatory men tho im sure ul disagree with that opinion also

I think if people have a sensitive nature then internet forums,social media sites probably arnt the best place for them to be as its filled with alot of idiots trolls crazies bullies and fantasists etc.

You have to ignore people like that and not let them get to you.

If you can't do that then I would probably give these sites a wide berth.

I got a warning just because I asked some info on a group meet and they went mad at me because I only asked for info what annoys me if you report anything of report straight to them they ignore you and take the other side they need to brush up on what's right and wrong

Gosh thats a v odd thing to say. Ur basically saying that because i have been abused its ok because its that sort of site. I have a v thick skin,im not some weakling,im merely pointing out that fab could create a safer site for us all. Censoring myself is not acceptable and i shall live however i want and go online wherever i choose without fear of abuse and stalking

I have one person who I've never met or spoken to constantly sends me nasty abusive messages. It is the same guy every time

After he sends an abusive message he then blocks me and so I counted block him and save the message hours later he deletes profile then back again and after a few days he sends another message

I have every filter on but that still don't stop him

Although I try to ignore it sometimes grinds me down that it's the same guy

Everytime he does it I report to fab and I have asked if they can put an IP block on this

But nothing

So I think for persistent abusers this should be the case

I can't see it ever changing as the internet magnifies the negative side of mankind as well the good.

The original thread was being warned by fab for doing that v thing,being a strong,thick skinned woman and adressing the issue. I also wanted to know fabs official policy on this issue and if theyd consider blocking ip adresses

Banning?v odd when no mention of this was made. This is a forum and as such ur free to talk when u want with who u want. Im just choosing this to be the last mssge to you as ur comments are systematic of the issues surrounding victimhood and entitlement issues for the offender. Gd luck

On a public forum you can't order who does or doesn't comment on your threads

I disagree. Being silent is a green flag to them and i will continue to point out to them that in 2017 i,as an empowered woman will not tollerate any behaviour demeaning or abusive to myself. Mindfullness takes many forms"

If someone spoke to me like shit on their shoe in a pub I'd call them on it. No reason to be any different on here.

We teach our kids to stand up to bullies... not ignore and hope it goes away.

I have one person who I've never met or spoken to constantly sends me nasty abusive messages. It is the same guy every time

After he sends an abusive message he then blocks me and so I counted block him and save the message hours later he deletes profile then back again and after a few days he sends another message

I have every filter on but that still don't stop him

Although I try to ignore it sometimes grinds me down that it's the same guy

Everytime he does it I report to fab and I have asked if they can put an IP block on this

But nothing

So I think for persistent abusers this should be the case

Things is though it's as easy as resetting your wifi to get a new IP address so easily got around in the press of a button

I shouldnt nd to do this and i find ur comments offensive due to ur obvious lack of sense of whats right and whats wrong. I should think ud have suggestions on new policy for fab but it apears u constantly want me to justify my remarks which i have been patient with. I am not here to justify myself to anyone but welcome new policy ideas for fab to seriously think about. Take ur reactionary comments elsewhere. Gd evening

There are allegations that the video of the woman ripping off the wing mirror was actually staged.

"I have a few times been warned by fab for having the complete right to confront abusive members who have sent me heinous and quite frankly obscene violent mssges. Id like to ask fab to justify theyre policy of 'just block them nxt time or ul be banned' mssge. To confront abusive members is to call out the misogynist violent _iews of predatory men (a small percentage here) or otherwise its a justification to them to continue thier offending behaviours. By blocking them or deleteing theyre profiles they will just make new ones but also i think it should be at the discretion of admin to read threads properly and make the right choice in these matters. We,the aggrieved partys have the right to defend ourselves against abusive members and not be warned for doing so. Calling out abusive members should be encouraged as it is now the norm in society online to be a cunt at will with no percievable punishment or shaming

I would suggest that it isn't just a few 'predatory men'; women can be just as abusive and vile too unfortunately. Some people 'enjoy' what they clearly perceive to be the safety and relative anonymity of the internet to abuse people and cause them emotional distress.

You mention further down the post that you will take your membership fees elsewhere if the admin / mods don't do as you wish; fab doesn't charge membership. You can quite easily utilise the site for free if you wish.

In my experience, it is easier to just laugh off abusive comments. It's just words written by a sad individual trying to elicit a reaction.

Are you entitled to feel upset, annoyed, distressed? Of course you are.

we all deal with such behaviour in our own way - if it goes against how the site is run well you get the ban - or if you dont like the kind of message youre getting choose to stay or leave here - sad you have had so much of the sexual predatory type behaviour you mentioned you have had to inform police twice

Abusive messages aren't acceptable. Provocation is immaterial, you can't say that some abuse is okay but others aren't. But I do wonder what you ate sending to get repeated warnings?

Admin do call out abusive members by the way of a warning like the one you seem to have got. Maybe next time do as advised and not retaliate then report the user instead
