How to indicate you're in a different location ?

SO what do you find is the best way to indicate that you're in a different place so you can get meet ups ??

1. Using your status

2. Changing your location in your profile

3. Posting a "meet"

4. Posting in the forum

Which have you found works best ?

I change my location but I've found that the location distance thingy often doesn't change

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

When I go on 'who's near' I turn my GPS on and it looks for people nearby. If I'm travelling and looking for fun I'll look in the area I'm visiting and get messaging people.

Hull but travel regularly

Change postcode, ensure GPS enabled and post a cheeky update tends to work for me
