We are new to swinging and are meeting our first couple next week for a drink.This may sound daft but we are both very nervous but very excited about it how do we approach it and what shall we talk about.

Bless you, have a lovely time! At a social meet, just chat with them like you would do with friends, you know, about all the normal stuff (although it is easier because you can ask things like 'how long have you been swinging', 'do you use any swinging clubs and what's your opinion' etc).

At some point, towards the end of the chat, there will be an awkward moment when either you or they will want to say "so, shall we meet again for sex?" But if you tell them up front that you're new to swinging and nervous, either they will take the lead, or they'll ask you later on Fab (if you need to say 'no thanks', it is easier to do it on Fab than in person!)

Have a lovely time, try to relax, and remember that everyone was new once!

What I tend to do is say up front that we'll message each other later after the social meet to see if we want to meet again or not as that takes the pressure and embarassment out of saying it face to face. I have no problem saying it to someones face but I just find it makes the social drink a bit more relaxing. Ms

we always do this when we meet a couple - make it clear that the meet is just to see how we get along with no pressure to commit or feel obliged to go ahead with anything....genuine people will understand this - and GOOD LUCK!!

Agree apart from akward bit.... just tell them you will be in touch and need time to chat about it if they ask and you are not really or happy to say there and then. We never tell guys on the social. Always tell them we will be in touch. Your comfort zone, your choice. Enjoy. We look at it as a nice eve out together and if anything else comes from it its an added bonus. No pressure means less nerves.

i'm also meeting a couple for the first time at their place...although, i'm not quite sure if it's a social thing or not lol feel embarrassed to ask. they've invited me in their jaccuzzi

so this thread has been quite useful to me also. it's surprising how nerve racking this is :s

However.it goes I.think manners are important. But also.honesty I met a couple a few weeks ago at their request had a great time , just a nice social drink. They really wanted.to meet again soon after, then nothing since...I know it was.just a social but why lead.people on . afterwards.

maybe try a club - there's Adam and Eves in Manchester where you can arrange to meet another couple and then it is so much easier to either make a move and enjoy or move away if it's not for you

Plus there might be someone else there for you to enjoy !

Please dont think for one minute I'm bragging but I think it's all to do with confidence. You know yourselves what you want and how far you're willing to take it and no one's gonna make you do anything you're not comfortable with. Treat as what it is, a social drink with people you have something in common with. I've only been on the site for five weeks and been lucky enough to have five meets and two more planned. My first meet was a group session after only five days on the site and I was more nervous about being ten minutes late. I'd never even had a threesome before that.

I agree that a social is definately a good idea for you to try. There's no pressure but everyone there has something in common albeit at different stages. You can talk openly with other couples or singles and decide how far if at all you want to take it. I went a social on saturday night and it was great. It was made better as I got to play with a great single girl and single guy.

I've had a look at your profile and have to agree it is good, you should have them queing up for meets with those great pictures. It all comes down to having fun and you'll know if it's not going well. I think having a drink will probably help with the confidence but dont get so d*unk you do things you wouldn't be happy about later.

Above all enjoy yourself. What's the worst that could happen? You dont 'click' and it doesn't go any further. And at best you have the best sex you've ever had. Just kick back back, relax and be yourselves and you'll be fine. Good luck, to all who are yet to have their first play or meet. Oh soooooo true...and remember, the chances are that the other couple will also be feeling somewhat nervous....it's all part and parcel of the fun. Jacuzzi's are brilliant for settling the nerves though...as soon as you're in the water the nerves just seem to float away

just an update...i had a brill time with the couple last night. we were talking for ages about stuff...the time time flew by...then we entered the jaccuzzi and it was lush. also had a lil play with the female whilst the male went in to watch tv lol (he obviously knew what we were doing as he came out, said "ooops, sorry" and went in again lol). my 'couple'cherry has been popped

and the above statement was true...jaccuzzi's do just send the nerves packing!

You did right! It's supposed to be about MUTUAL fun, not them making you feel that you're being interviewed to see if you're 'good enough' for them to play with!

If they'd been a bit more friendly and relaxed, then leaving without saying goodbye might be considered a bit rude ... but their assumption that any rejection could only come from their side smacks of arrogance.
