Just a minor irritation, but an irritation nonetheless.

The vast majority of people on here who request (sometimes demand) a face pic, are women.

It's something I haven't done, but in my opinion, when guys ask for the same, they get accused of being pic hunters, out for a quick thrill.

Double standards?

Most guys send the first message so its only natural to send a facepic with your message.. same if i was messaging a guy ad send my face pic.. its not Blind Date afterall

If you don't want to send it, don't send it. I don't demand a face photo with a first message because I don't like to send mine with a first message either. But (for most people) you're going to have to share it at some point.

It's a request. That means you have a choice. You do or you don't.

I'm more than happy to send a face pic with my message but I won't waste my time chatting to someone who won't show theirs because physical attraction is a must for me

I don't insist on a face pic with first message like some do but I don't see why you shouldn't ...after all, its not blind date is it?

likewise if someone asked me for one I will ask for one by return..

If I get a message from a chap who's local and all that I do ask for a face pic early on in the convo. It's nice to see who you're talking to plus you can usually tell if you might fancy them or not. I never demand however if someone refuses that's it, end of conversation. Simple

Oh, and I'm happy to send mine if I like what I see!!

a PIC proves nothing to me .I had a blackmailing tosspot on here send me loads of face pics .I need to see the actual person .would you read a book just because it had a nice cover

Yes we 'demand' a face pic with first message, and we would always supply a face pic if we are the ones messaging first. Sadly a lot of guys would rather show their cock before they show their face, which I find very strange.

In a competitive marketplace it's likely that the competitor who can satisfy demands will be more successful than the one who doesn't. If you meet in clubs your face is seen, so it seems you may as well put yourself on that level as soon as possible. Many guys here have public face pics, so if you don't, you're starting from a position that makes success less likely.

The question is to what extent ate you committed to being successful here? You have full choice over whether you comply with requests - if you don't, it's feasible that you become overlooked. People also get concerns about people cheating or with something to hide. It's unrealistic to expect blind dates or to achieve as well as guys who are confident about putting themselves out there.

We tend to want to chat first. But can understand it from both sides.

Sometimes people will send us face pics with their first message which is fine, but not something we'd consider doing as we'd have no idea if we could even schedule a meet to match from a first message.

Generally happy to send face pics after a few messages, find its normally male half of couples that seem to be more demanding, several instances of them raising the subject then expect us to send them first.
