Start with hands tied above the head or behind the back depending on position... graduate from there. Look at sex shops online they have a huge array of bondage equipment for beginners. Good luck and enjoy..........I know we do kaz

We started with leather handcuffs but you can use scarves, ties etc.

The main thing is not to use anything that gets tighter if a person wriggles and to always make sure it can be undone quickly and easily. Sometimes being restrained can take you to some odd places in your head and you need to be got out quick.

Enjoy, it's a lot of fun

Stockings and silky scarfs are a cheaper and sensual way to tie some up.

Avoid steel cuffs - a beginners they'll hurt.

Try leather cuffs - look & feel great, or soft Velcro ones - not much to look at, but very comfy & easy to use

Door cuffs are great for beginners or under the bed restraints. Easy to store, discreet and they are comfortable. Ooh, don't forget the blindfold and a pinwheel ! XXX

Love honey has some really good Velcro restraints, so they can be tight without being panicked by either weight of cuffs (sex shop hand cuffs are crap anyway)They are a great addition to any bodies kit

I would not recommend using rope without some tuition. There will be rope demos locally I would expect. But using scarves, or underbed restraints are good starters.

Have a safe word and have fun.

Velcro restraints are cheap enough and tassle floggers .

Start with basics. Seduce. Gentle slaps. Explore each other .

Start gently. Then get a bit more.

Maybe hands restrained and blindfolds. Small steps.

Some very general advice below, pick which bits work for you from this and everyone else's advice.

Have something that's easy to open (like leather/Velcro handcuffs) to attach the rope/ties/belts/scarfs to, or have a pair of safety shears to hand in case of an emergency. If you do end up using something that tightens then remember to keep checking circulation in the extremities.

Establish a safe word or a safe signal if you're going to be using a gag, again just for emergencies or if you're wanting to do a more "forced" kind of role play.

If you are going to use rope, just a few basic ties are all you need, that and some imagination and you'll be experts swinging from the ceiling in no time! A quick google, as others have said two knotty boys are very good, or just google shibari tutorial and you'll have loads to choose from.

Most important piece of advice for me is to set the mood, bondage is awesome, as long as the mood is right and that comes massively from the top and how they control the scene.

Have fun experimenting, and if it goes wrong, dust yourselves off and start again!

X

This kinda sums it up.

Above all set the mood, have fun and don't get too ambitious too soon

What she said. Be very, very careful when it comes to rope. You have to know how to tie it without cutting off circulation, and how to do knots you can undo in a hurry if something goes wrong. Never, ever use nylon ropes, the knots tighten up and are very hard to undo. Always have a strong, sharp knife handy to cut the ropes if you have to.

Think you have to remember OP that as soon as someone is tied up, there can be a great sense of panic so be aware of this. You can either throw the kitchen sink in and it be crap or build things as you would do in sex without restraint and achieve results. Once you have trust you can go a little further or harder though just because someone is tied up doesn't mean the cat-o-nine can come out. Your senses are heightened quite a lot. Cling film for eg is highly restrictive - on a chair or coffee table is quite a different experience a bed and has you think of different positions, sensations or toys over 'getting your cock in'.

Whatever you decide to use you MUST make sure you have the means to free the person immediately, should something go wrong, even if it's cramp.

in addition to the advice above Lovehonny does some nice soft ropes not expensive and better than 50shades-of-shit aka B&Q that will mark cut or friction burn. Get some rope safety shears as well just in case.

Otherwise improvise -chopsticks and elastic bands = nipple camps. Part of the fun and thrill is imagination.

Pretty handy stuff, timely too. I've been talking to a girl and it's actually brought out a more dominant side in me. I've been looking at the love honey door restraints as my starting point. I think tied with a blindfold it could lead to some very sensual moments. Love the idea that she'll still be able to turn on the spot.

Following on from _aptivating's advice; always ensure that there is a means of communication between you (gags require alternative methods), never leave a bound or gagged subject alone, always ensure that you have the means to remove any ties, ropes, gags etc. instantly (safety shears).

Safety, sanity and consensuality.

Under bed Velcro restraints. Dead easy to get in and out of, safe, can use them anywhere, I've had loads of use from mine.
