I took a chance on messaging a local in small village. We had coffee and chat. The key is to abide by swinging rules and keep private hobbies private.

I used to get that quite a lot..

now I use the phone thing where it shows how far away people are and block anyone within a 5-10 mile radius ..

but the only problem with that is when people use a different post code

i had something similar, except they knew exactly where i lived. and yeah they had no pics or anything so i had no idea who they were, creepy like you say.

had a fair amount of guys message me to say they had seen me out and about, i don't mind that but never confirm it was me unless i've already been chatting to them.

had a guy in a van ask me for directions once, then he asked if i was on fab, i just said no.

Very local can be very handy if the trust is there. You never know when you get the horn and need an instant hook up

Yes just seemed overly pushy.

Not a comfortable feeling.

Wow. Cringeworthy.

i think they get excited about knowing someone is on here, then they see they are real, and get carried away with that.

they don't really think about how we will feel having our privacy invaded that way.

I don't think some people realise how intimidating it can be, especially for a single woman.

Others genuinely enjoy making other people feel uncomfortable.

Then they are wondering why single girls elude them . Wow.

Think it must be him . I smell a rat

I had a parcel delivered and got pestered by the guy when he found me on here, because he knew where I lived, so I can understand your concern.

It is creepy

You definitely did the right thing. You should report them to admin too.

That sounds like the start of a Poppy Z. Bright book.

And this is why I never give my precise location and disable the 'who's near' function. The "I see I'm less than a mile from you" type messages weirded me out.

Yes, no need to know that level of detail. It smacks of stalking.

Local can be good. I was chatting to a lady for ages and found out she lived in the street behind me and yes we met but a couple of miles out of the village, I see her every now and then in the local pub and say hi. Another bloke 2 streets away invited me round, he sucked me off and I went.

Its a shame not everyone understands that some people want to keep this side of their lives private. It can also be scary for some, when i had my single profile I had a bloke who thought he knew me.He was wrong anyway but it can be intimidating at the least.

Miss
