Seems to be quite a lot of fakes on here So how does everyone spot a one??

I think there are various levels of fakery on here.

If you are on about a fake profile, (claims to be a fem or Cpl when its really big Dave the trucker getting his jollies)then the basics like having no pics and veries are a bit of a giveaway. If they do have pics, any reverse-image search may help find where they nicked them from. Ultimate test is to ask them to go on cam or phone.

For less obvious fakes (those that are a fem or Cpl, but have no intention of meeting), again veries can help, remember to check the veries of who veried them, some go to great lengths to set up multiple profiles, get one veried and then veri the others, so a chain of multiple veries all with interlocking single veries is a bit suspicious.

After that, the final level is the "dickhead" profile, they swing, on occasion, but mostly cant be arsed, and prefer the thrill of the chase... this one is the hardest to pin down, and only multiple offers of playdates etc which they either turn down, or are vague about, will eventually give them away.

You must know because you can spot them!

Obviously if I tell you the sure fire ways to spit a fake then the fakes reading my tips will know what to do and what not to do and it will make the job of spotting them more tricky.

Go with your gut instinct, any hint if doubt just move on. Trust yourself.

Not many fakes as such, and if there are its usually single men masquerading as women or couples. Usually easy to spot once you chat a bit.

Someone difficult to pin down to a meet, vague about what they want or doesn't reply to messages is not a fake. They might be those things for many reasons, none of them include the fact that they might not be who they say they are.

The site has filters that work pretty well, the rest is common sense and gut instinct.

Have a chat on the phone then you will get a better sense of if they are really genuine or not. Meet for a social, if they won't do that then they're probably not genuine. Anyone can pretend to be anyone on the Internet!

Oh yes always a social and a cooling off period discussion amongst ourselves first . We've had a few not turn up at all though

Do seem to be more than quite a lot of newbies messaging us, not sure if they can't bear the thought of being alone over Christmas or what, they all have very nice pics etc, but when we say we only get involved chatting with verified people they seem to go quiet, no guarantee they are fakes of course, more like the morning horn has wore off...

But spotting fakes per se,

pics that are too good/professional

lack of anything in the background that suggests the pic was taken in the UK (electrical sockets are perfect for this!)

scant profile text

unlimited 'intos' (we're all mucky, but no-one is *that* mucky

)

Shaky English (especially for a couple going by the names of Ronnie and Gladys)

No direct proof as alluded to above, but enough to suggest we proceed with caution!

You will also spot the same pictures being used on multiple profiles, that move locations a lot and only around for a short period of time.

Process of elimination. Most are not verified either by photo or through a meet and many have been on the site for over a year. If we are contacted by such a couple we ask for face pics that gets rid of roughly 50% straight away. Then we say that a first meet will be a social only, that removes another 25%. After that we start talking about setting a date, many become vague at this point so after offering up a few dates we cut our loses and block and ignore. We are down to the odd one or two who agree a date and we ask for a phone call.

The no verification thing is tricky because our first two meets were with someone not verified.

It's all trial and error but we fell for some whoppers when we first joined.

Picture collectors Are one thing but dicks that go to all the trouble of arranging to meet and then don't show I can't get my head around.

Take it easy on what pics you send and remember if it happens it happens

after a while, experience brings the ability to spot fakes or even time wasting fantasy seekers. Especially those who like,enjoy and amuse themselves by teasing and having a laugh when they ping pong email and have no intention of meeting. Clues include the repeated questions despite your having already answered the same question several times. Then the fact they ignore your questions about when and where to meet,after agreeing to meet. Then there are those who keep changing profiles, coming on /off the site, but usually use the same description of interests etc. These can be single men, females or couples. But are often just males with a wife / partner who knows nothing about their extra marital curiculam. All easily spotted. using common sense and watch carefully what they say in emails.

We have been called fakes mainly becasue our standards are high, and we work hard all week so no time, We deleted all of our verification's becasue we where going to leave. We dont even pay now, becasue like a lot of others WE think there are to many fakes and lies and time wasters on here, lets face it why get in 3 wheel Robin car when you own a Rolls Royce, also Fabs are putting fake profile on too,

This is what we tend to do although we were stood up twice last week by guys. Just left us stilling there in the pub lol there loss I guess as we still had a good time though even if it was just the two of us.

Twice now we have been accused of being fake. We are very upfront on the fact we are not looking to meet. I think this site is great for a forum and for getting ideas to bring to the bedroom. I use the "interests" as a way of people knowing what we like and it's a convo starter.

human behaviour comes in many many variations - on the internet people are able to pretend, fantasise, be anybody they want to be - there will always be some fakery - luckily there will also always be some very sexy people willing to meet.....so it's still worth it! m x

We've actually found it quite fun to go out 'fake hunting'! Typically when a new member pops up in the newsfeed with porn-quality pics and a bio that makes them out as a nubile,bisexual, sex-starved nymph.

Run the pics through an image search engine and see what comes back. Typically they show as being from some adult site. Report to admin as required and mount their head on your wall

I think we've chalked up about 15 kills so far?

Yes they do ....... but usually the verification has come from themselves via yet another fake profile as was mentioned earlier.

Get a cam verif they go on to set up multiple profiles all verifying each other making them seem like an ideal person to play with until that is you get around to arranging a meet then they go quiet or block you from further contact.

We had a guy here recently was himself unverified my gut told me don't bother but on second thoughts we decided to give him the benefit of doubt as everyone has to start somewhere so we went through the whole chit chat thing he sent face pics that made him seem keen gave him a rough idea as to our location next thing he goes offline doesn't answer txts that were previously replied to and any mail we sent via here went on to be unread even though he was online ....... Moral of that story the next guy has to work twice as hard to prove he is worth meeting a gen couple

I'm deffo not fake. I'm not arramging meets off here but that shouldn't make me any less welcome. I use it to chat in the forums. Keep my eye out for socials and club meets (folks bdays etc) also its nice to be able to leave someone a veri after meeting in a club.

We all use Fab our own way. Dont knock someone else's way but calling them a timewaster or a fake. Thats rude as frig
