Do you accept friends requests from people that haven't either bothered to say hi? I personally think only good courtesy to chat first. Just thought I'd see what people's views are xx

Sounds like they just want access to you private photos.

Most folk on here will say it's weird and unacceptable. If someone is a friend add them if not don't

We don't. We only accept once we've actually met now. We found that the majority just wanted to see our friends only photos and never ended up meeting.

"No we just delete and quite often block."

Same here but we always block as it says we will on the profile, so to still send an invite means they either didn't read it or they don't care about our boundaries and neither one is appealing.

Nope. I only have people I actually know on my friends list. It's a jolly small, but very friendly list.

Top tip is don't delete the request, just leave it sitting there in the list as that way they can't resend it

What a coincidence I've just posted about this in the Wales forum.

We tend to get the random invites without a message.

Or a one or two messages then a invite.

just this morning we had one I've declined it three times in last few weeks.

From now on think we will just block x

we never accept friend requests until we have exchanged a few messages, often we wait until we are arranging day/time to meet - we have learnt by experience that people who genuinely want to meet will put a bit of effort and patience into their fab world, m x

We might friend someone who winks at us if we think there is a possibility of our paths crossing in the future. Likewise we would accept a friend request from someone we have winked at. We're not big on on-line chat and hardly ever meet privately, but we go to a lot of parties so we would hope to connect with some of our 'friends' that way. If nothing comes of it we defriend after a while. There have been a few that haven't accepted our friend request after they winked at us. Guess they were offended that we didn't bother to message. For us it just initiates a connection, then we can have chat if we are at the same party/social. Certainly don't friend people just to look at pictures - ffs we're active players, can't be arsed with picture collecting!

I don't bother to accept friend invites from people who've not bothered to communicate with me - it suggests they want to look at photos. I prefer a friends list of people that I've filtered so that I know we've something in common, either as good friends, shags or other interests.

I wink them, if I think they may be of interest.

For the first three months on Fab we were inundated with friends requests ... mostly from the mad, bad and just plain dangerous to know and without even the simple courtesy of a message saying "Hi I'd love to shag you". We now only accept friends requests from people we have exchanged lots of messages with or have met. We had one guy who did send messages .. the same message about 20 times ( the beauty of cut and paste) before we discovered how to block him (slow on the uptake .. its an Irish thing) ... it said "Luv to park my lorry in your drive". WTF Cx

We do occasionally if they look of interest and more importantly they appear to have read our profile. So all the straight 25 year old guys that send a friends request just get deleted.

I send them (its usually couples) a message saying why would Yu assume we'd want to be your friends when you can't even speak to us, then I block, so they get the message. Happens more on my single profile though

Hiding in the shadows

Stated in my profile, I don't accept friend request from people unless we've already chatted.

Anyone sending one without any prior communication is ignored, if they can't read & understand, honour that simple request, then I automatically assume they're not intrested in me as a person, my wishes & preferences, so why would I want them as a 'friend'

No, I leave the request there until they upload some pics (which is usually never), then accept when they're not online, have a looksie, and if they then appear real, maybe get back in touch
