I know some on here play bareback, some selectively some not.

If you you do play bareback do you refrain from doing so just before and after being tested so you can be clear of your results and who may be affected if you are positive for anything?

Serious question so feel free to take the piss and call me stupid for ever playing bb

no.

but i did bareback someone in august and i'm now not sure when/if everything comes back clear so i know i'm ok for the next time.

might go back to only soft play coz condom sex doesn't do much for me, everything else does though, foreplay and oral.

i never had condom sex before this site. except with one ex and his dick was massive so it just rolled off when we were fucking anyway, might as well not have bothered.

sucks that no condom feels as good as bb really, and i used to think skyns felt that way but not since i've had bb again. i did enjoy them but not any more.

Yeah, I still get tested every 3 months or so. Have you folks tried ribbed condoms, see if that helps with the sensation?

i've tried bobbly ones, they used to feel ok. ribbed just feel a bit 'sticky' like i'm not as lubed up or something, not that keen on them and they've never done anything for me.

i'm just disappointed when using condoms. it is more my mentality i think, rather than sensation.

You can pass infection on right through the instant of being infected.

OP , I'm not a BB knocking white-horser, people have to make their own informed decisions and be open and honest about it with play partners, but I've only just noticed you are TV/TS . I would have imagined, more than anybody, you would be even more aware of all the details of this already. You are in a really high risk category for infection, I'd say you need to get much more aware on this.

I get tested every three months even though I don't bb. And get tested regular regardless of whether I meet or not.

Some people find that strange as I do sage sex

But a lot of people are naive and don't understand that sdi's can be passed on orally

Think a lot of people need to be re-educated or this subject

I mean yes most of us practice safe sex but we are not fully protected when we do oral unsafe are we

I am niave and new and until playing on here I had the same, straight partner for 16 years so I do have a lot to learn.

So to me its a valid question I am learning from.

If you have regular partners you trust then bb sex isn't something to be scared of.

I do trust some so I take my risks.

I also plan to play safe whenever I want- its just bb sex I was wondering if people plan with testing in mind....

The hiv drug I will enquire about so thanks for that- thats the big one that scares me

I never bb and get tested every three months.

If I've played a lot I go for swabs after a couple of weeks to test for the stuff I could get orally.

I use bb threads to ear mark people not to play with as they're higher risk.

There are different types of tests but typically a 12 week period after sex would show infection for the majority of people.

If you've had the potential for infection, there is a short window after sex where PEP treatment can be started.

I've copied this from the Terence Higgins website -

'If your risk was in the last three months, tell the person testing you as it may affect the type of test they use.

If your risk was recent the testing centre will probably advise you to have a test immediately, followed by a second one a few weeks later (this will pick up any recent infection the first test might have missed).

Very occasionally it can take up to three months for antibodies to appear in the blood, so an HIV negative result is only totally accurate if three months have passed between the test and the last time a risk was taken. However, a negative result four to eight weeks after taking a risk is a very good sign that HIV infection hasn’t happened. I'm in favour of the Texan attitude, if it happened to you it was your fault, if you take 100% responsibility for your own health (and no one else's) then you don't need to rely on what Equifux says Ball & Chain's STD rating is.
