If you had a meet what didnt went well - would you still write a verification saying it was good? Of course nobody would post a bad verification about them anyway. But would you rather not leave a verification at all instead?

I personally wouldn't verify them. I wouldn't want to be associated with them in any way shape or form. Bullshitting is not an option.

Sometimes you will come across a verification on a profile that clearly smacks "this person was not for me but I recommend them to you because I am under pressure to write something nice about them". What's that all about?

If however, it was because I'd caught him inside me bare, when he insisted he'd put a condom on, for example, then no, I wouldn't verify him.

see... all that means to me is that you were not sexually compatible... it doesn't mean that the people wasn't the nicest before or after... or wasn't at all points genuine and they were who they said they were....

If we had a meet that did'nt set me on fire but the guy was a decent sort then yes id verify him just as being genuine,he may be someone elses perfect playmate

Wouldn't it depend on the definition of "bad?". Personally, the only verifications I left were for new members I'd personally met on other sites, to say I'd met them and they were fun.

Outside of that I don't give or want further notifications!

Depends in what way you mean bad. If you only met for coffee, then even that depends on how it went. For example I've met guys that I didn't fancy, I would still leave a verification. If the sex wasn't all that good, either don't leave one or don't put as much in your verification

bloody easy ways of determining if someone looks close to their pics....use a fucking WEBCAM!!!!!-sorry if I decided to meet someone based on a pic or no decent veries to give me a clue what they might look like at the present time I'm afraid I'd feel like the idiot rather tha the guy/girl/cpl who chanced their arm at a meet and turned up.

maybe when people start doing there homework we will get less of the complainers saying the meet turned up looking 20years older than what was required.a webcam costs £5 it does not need to be used for sex either or prolonged chatter.And again...JUST in the last few days Ive helped out finding some party goers for a friend, guys were willing to come along for the party kowing it was pretty much sexually based but they hadnt eve checked the cpls profile...smacks me of idiocy!

That is the most sensible thing youve said to date. Spot on. I as a single woman am not about to meet someone that hasnt either got recent verifications or ive seen on webcam. So i wouldnt expect a guy to either.

"Verifications we try to leave for another user aren't being saved

If you're trying to verify another account that you have created yourself or you're trying to verify someone who is using the same PC as yourself, or you're on the same internet connection, then the verification won't be recorded. We do this to stop people creating fake accounts and verifying them themselves."

the more and more I think about it, the more I think that writing them should be taken out of peoples hands! and that the site should just come up with various statements that people can just tick if they agree with them.... that would be a lot simplier

Yes it is to verify that someone is genuine. But as people have already mentioned what you put in the verification will give a lot away.

For example meeting up with someone for coffee proves he's a genuine person and real but doesn't prove he's a genuine swinger! When it comes to the crunch he could bottle it. So in that instance I'd expect a veri saying We had coffee if i'm genuine ie look like my pics etc and a brief description of what I was like. Was I easy to talk to, did the person i was with have fun? That sort of thing.

If i'd been to a meet then I'd expect one mentioning that I turned up, did I look like my pics etc. That would then prove I was genuine in that instance. Anything extra is upto how much the Woman or couple enjoyed me being there. If I wasn't exactly there cup of tea then I'd be fine if they didn't put much else. If they had a really good time then it's appreciated if they put that. I don't expect people to make stuff up.

When I was part of a couple if someone turned up but was nervous and couldn't perform all we'd put was Nice guy (if he was), turned up as arranged was a bit nervous so just had a chat and he left.

It shows that he is genuine for turning up but also let's people know that he does get nervous.

If it was a shambles because the person was a tosser and we had to ask him to leave then we wouldn't have left him a veri.

I believe the veris are there to let other people make an informed decision on wheter or not a person or couple are right for them by seeing what they've been like in the past.

You shouldn't be lieing on a veri and you don't have to leave someone a shit veri or embarrasing one just because they didn't flick your switches (as long as they were genuine and polite) as already mentioned they may flick someone elses!

it just seems like the way verification is at the moment, I just wonder if it is actually "verification" or it it is more "recommendation" in a lot of peoples eyes......... in which case it isn't what i signed up for...

i do wonder what ppl use veris for. We have all different sorts on our profile,many from ppl we have not played with,but who it has been a pleasure to meet at socials.If others are using them as some sort of sexual scoring system then i would seriously think about hiding mine.

Rarely verify anyway although when begged may concede if everything went well, otherwise not. Its not obligatory and who we have met is only our business. Cuts out complications we dont need. Luckily not really had any terrible meets.

to many of these verification woes and slams, I just say FFS getta grip...ticking boxes if u would meet them again???? wtf u on about!???- only prob Ive had here with verifications is the people on these forums.If i get a verification Im happy IF i dont I dont...if I leave one and they dont display it, och well...I had a 3rd meet up with lovely pals on fri...I verified them not to seek one for myself, I think I can go on the fact i "may" be invited again.

verification-bashing ive almost heard it all now...Oh looks like I'm a slut by all accounts on mine..but sorta strange ive kept in contact with many of the people thru chats online,pubs,parties, socials whatever.

It is a bloody recommendation of course it is, but IT is a choice and its served me and a good few others well in the past present and future.

I am not the one complaining... I was asking the question if verification is really just a convienient word for "recommendation"....

I am not arsed if i get them myself either... the only ones I don't show are not the ones that are graphic because to be honest, a) its not me... and b) its no one elses business who i play with and what i get up to!

to answer in a billybigbollox manner it is exactly the same thing...

just seems a lot here and i stress HERE in forums seem to have such issues that they have to get that word in about what this is what that is. so again...verification...recommendation, essentially the same thing. if i was billybigbolloxing I apologise, as all I'm pointing out is that for the majority that play an active part on the site and off the site, we find verifications/validations/recommendations can help cut down any problems so many seem to have, and thats mainly thru poor choices of meets or indeed not researching their meets (see verifications).
