i had hundreds of them in my garden last year, not seen any this year at all sadly.

not seen much wildlife actually this year, apart from hedgehogs so maybe they've been eating all my insects?

yeah i knew they ate them, it's probably why they love my garden so much lol.

suppose the ladybirds could have just moved on or something, i had some with square spots, love my garden and seeing what lives in it.

Square spots! I've never seen that. In the seventies there was a plague of ladybirds and the air was literally thick with them, I remember walking along Brighton seafront unable to see properly because of them.

Had a ladybird on my van windscreen last week it slowly moved across it over a 20 mile journey...leaving a trail of slime ....
