Conception Implant.... HELP!!

Hey hope you can all help... I had the implant fitted over 4 weeks ago and it itches like hell! It also seems to be quite near the surface...

Does this sound right x

My first two I could feel very easily, but not this one....didn't itch though, so may be worth going back to the doctors

Mine itched like mad. I had it taken out after 6 months. It was also painful though.

You may need to, as you may have an infection, I'm on my third and not one of them itched, or maybe phone and ask the surgery for a doctor to call you back and explain your symptoms, they may advise to leave it or may ask to see you, my doctors are good like that

It does itch for a bit but if it carries on then best going back to be checked. I had mine in 18mths but had to be removed due to making me really ill x

Every woman is different, It can take time for ur body to get used to it but I would say go back and get checked if hasnt settled by end of the week. Mine itched a few weeks but I always do things the hard way lol x

I'm on my 4th implant and all have itched, but never for more than a week or so. Might be best to give your doctor or practice nurse a ring in case there's an infection.

The implant should sit near the surface of your skin on top of the muscle, so you can feel the outline.

Mine was really itchy for a couple of weeks, prob about 3-4 weeks in. My nurse warned me to expect this. Maybe have a word with your practice nurse if you are worried. X

That's just another name for a penis right?

Maybe it's itching because you left it in too long - between 2 mins and an hour should be plenty - if it's been in 4 week then your definitely ding something wrong

Hey. I'm on my third and have never experienced itching but mine is so close to the surface of my skin that you can see it. My arms are quite thin there so that maybe why but on the plus side.. it'll be easier to take it out when it needs changed, the part I always hate

Anyone else had issues with spotting/shorter cycles? I had mine fitted in August and I reckon I'm getting about a 20 day cycle at the moment! Total pain!

Wen I had mine, I was spotting on n off all the time. Practically bleeding 15mths and I had it taken out after 18mths of getting it x

I have been the same. I used to get continual bleeding when it was due to be changed and normally I only have random spotting which has been bliss. But the last 2 weeks I've had spotting which has turned into bleeding and it's not due to be changed for 2 years. Really annoying, being hopeful that it will settle down again

Had mine in for 2 years constantly itched,and was sore, doctor said my body kept seeing it as a foreign object, so they finally removed! Thank god

Now on merina coil and love it x
