Anyone else?

I've posted on here before about this, but, does anyone else on this forum have herpes?

I caught the virus a few years ago, and now no one will have sex with me.

I've had about 15 or so singles/couples on this site show interest in meeting (until I told them about my condition).

I got lucky when I first joined up, and one girl arranged to meet me - but since then it's just been rejection after rejection. I must have messaged about everyone in York.

What am I supposed to do? Even in real life, the last two girls I met on Tinder rejected me.

Carry on being honest and take the necessary precautions. Display your responsible attitude towards the situation and who knows. Maybe one day...

I've kind of lost hope at this point. I'm still a bit addicted to this site, but I'll probably delete my profile soon.

Thanks. I'll just give myself a pat on the back and hope that makes up for the lack of sex ha

Professor George Kinghorn, a sexual health consultant in Sheffield, says: “… to be infected with a herpes simplex virus is a state of normality. We tend to make this into a big deal instead of saying that to be infected with herpes virus is something that happens to all adults, some with symptoms and some of us without.” Read more.

This is true, but doesn't really impact on the way people actually feel towards it.

But I'm right in saying you are not always symptomatic, so I cannot see the issue. There are plenty out there who don't even know they have it, or have it and don't say a word.

I think if you use protection, don't do it when you are symptomatic it isn't a problem.

Wish you well

There isn't really much of a problem, except that peopel expect you to be honest about it. When you are honest, you get rejected. I could just lie, or not tell the whole truth, but I'm not sure that's the right thing to do..

I would suggest this is not the site for you. There are sites out there for people with herpes, maybe try that

The majority of the human population have herpes, why tell anyone, it's not an issue unless you have active leisions.

It can still pass on even without lesions. I have considered not telling people. The rejection is getting a bit much now

Those that have rejected you will have it. Just stop admitting it!
