Hey all! So I'm thinking of hosting my first private party in a few weeks. Could any one give me some tips and pointers? Thanks

Make sure you have a core of reliable friends who will turn up. Then you need to invite at least twice as many as you want, because at least half won't show up. I would suggest you co host with a lady friend. Give people 4 to 6 weeks notice, and keep reminding. Dynamics with your guests is very important - you want people who will get on with each other and be willing to play.

This is very good advice.

But as a single man on Fab for a short time, with no veries. We don't think you have a chance with your party idea. But wish you luck. If you are just starting out. Why not try a swingers club to build up a group of party friends?

I was here before for a while Give it to us, deleted my old profile as I got into a monogamous relationship with someone not on the scene.

Maybe contact a few of your old veris and ask them to reverify you. Highly unlikely to be taken seriously otherwise.

I;d echo the other comments that you may struggle to get people to take you seriously.

Go to clubs and socials and get known, people you've met face to face and have a rapport with will be far more likely to attend a party than randoms on a website

I mean in all truth, this is still very much in the ideas stage, and I was just gauging interest and trying to get some pointers. I think you're probably right though. I'll have to put a pin in this for the future though

When hubby joined fab as a single male he thought that the best way to get himself known and trusted on the scene was to host a party. This was after he had been here about 2 months.

Some of the people that he'd invited asked him to come to their party a couple of weeks beforehand, I think to check him out before coming here lol.

Hubby made some lifelong friends from taking the plunge and just jumping in.

Go for it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain

That last point is vital...you need to choose your guests very carefully. I have been to parties where the atmosphere was so frosty and couples didn't gel. Also a few where there were a few cliques. No use at all. Choose guests with at least 6 recent verifications too.

Don't be put off by people saying you have no chance mate.

It's just about hitting the right tone with your invite and timing can be important too.

I find that the closer the date gets, the higher the interest and surprisingly the ones that do let you down are the ones you least expect.

Try to invite people with no verifications as well as those with some, as the new people often need a step up.

I've met some very sexy new members this way.

Expect some no shows, there are always the fantasists but if you don't try then you'll never know.

We hold partys but only invite people we have meet or on occasions ask them to bring someone with them . Always been great partys holding another one sat
