If you knew someone had an incurable, yet non-life threatening STD, would you ever consider sleeping with them, or going for a social?

if i also had the same STD then yeah i would. it's something i've thought about with BB sex and the risks as i did think i'd have to give up promiscuous sex if i catch something, but if i caught something i would just seek out people with the same STD as me, and there are sites specifically for this.

but without that and just for NSA sex i wouldn't risk catching something, so sorry no. social would be fine but i don't really see the point if it's not going to progress further.

Thanks for the reply.

What if there was only a small chance of it passing on and you really liked the person? Or would it just be a straight up no?

For a meet I wouldn't but if I met someone who I really liked for a proper long term relationship, then yes I would.

you're welcome.

it's not that i think it's bad you've got a disease, it's just unfortunate that you have and that's a part of being promiscuous means there's always that chance of catching something.

for NSA i'd say no. if it was for something more and i wasn't gonna fuck other people as well as you then i'd probably risk it, (you generally not literally).

mostly my reason for not wanting to being too risky is that i'd feel guilty about passing something onto someone else coz i know most STD can't cause too much damage to myself (if caught in time) and this is also why i won't fuck men who are attached coz i'd feel guilty if their partner caught something (as well as other reasons).

I don't know a lot about herpes except that lots of people have it lying dormant and don't know about it. Also, I believe it cannot be transmitted unless it is active (as such). I am sure lots of people with it don't tell their prospective meets.

It can still be transmitted even when it's not active. But yeah, there's lots that don't tell.

Ah okay.

It seems that my only chance of getting laid is to find a girlfriend - which is not really what I want haha.

maybe there's a 'dating (fuck)' site for people with herpes? i know there is for some STDs but can't remember which ones.

but yeah, if more people weren't shady and i could trust that i was only meeting genuinely single guys then i might have upped my risk factor more coz i do prefer BB.

Yes I would attend a social. See no reason not to. If I wanted to move to the next level, Sex would be condom only but that's like with any meet I'd have on here.

There is a dating site for people with herpes but people come on...a lot don't even know they have it. If u take precautions, be honest and don't have sex when symptomatic I don't have a problem with it. Thing is you would have to trust the person was telling the truth. How many people trust nsas on here? Not many I'm sure

Thank you for those that replied.

It's good to hear that some of you wouldn't be 100% put off by it. I was starting to lose hope over this past week.

And yes there is a dating site just for us, but as Siouxsisue said, most people don't know they have it so there is very few people actually on there.

It's also not a 'hookup' site. Most of the very few people on there are just looking for long-term monogomous relationships. It's quite a depressing place.

I'd go on a social with them - but I'd have to double up on the condoms if I wanted to play.

If it's incurable, I don't think I see the point. I'm happy to meet someone who has been treated and given the all clear.
