A friend who used to be here messaged me saying he had to delete account due to a female who was blackmail him he reported 5 times but she still on xx he didn't want to leave but had to xx he was wondering why after reporting her she still on here xx asked me to help any advice I can send him

Couldn't he just have blocked her and changed his profile name? shame though that she didn't get removed. Sorry if this isn't helpful only I haven't been in this situation

Difficult to offer advice without the details.

If it's a really serious case - and if he has evidence - then the police should be his first stop. If it's a bit of general annoyance on the site, the admins ought to be able to sort it. Surprised that they seem not to have done.

Admin seem less willing to deal appropriately with single women. I'm sure if it was a bloke he'd have been banned. Just my observation

The same thing happened to me. I reported him. Then blocked him. And changed my name, pics and location. He wasn't spoiling my fun.

It's awful when people abuse this, we are all here to have fun. I was very upset by my experience but gradually beginning to feel more comfortable again. And because of this I never ever send the first face pic. This happened because I was recognised. So I'm cautious.

Hope your friend feels better soon and can get it sorted out xx

If it's blackmail and there is proof then there is always the police it can be reported to as well as fab administrators.

I use the word female to refer to a woman, I think many people do

If its they are threatening to post it on social media and actually do it its classed as revenge porn which (i believe im not 100% sure) is illegal so police shouldnt be ignoring it reallly

A couple of years ago we were getting aggro from a guy who appeared to know a lot about us. We were not able to identify the individual exactly but it seemed that he was someone who we had worked with.

We finally left him a message telling him that we had identified him and were taking the appropriate legal action. At the same time we cancelled our existing Fabs account and opened a new one under our present names/profile.

Never heard a single word since.

I think its because they need evidence that they are breaking the rules. Like I had one couple trying to charge me to sleep with them, but they weren't taken down after reporting cause there was no evidence

I missed this to let you know what Admin do in these cases sorry.

There has to be evidence on the site for Admin to do anything, but they do take someone trying to "out" another very seriously and act.

If it is only happening away from the site then it is best reported to the police, they won't care what site he is on so don't worry about going to them

I reported a man several times for threatening to 'out' me. I met him once for ten minutes. Decided he was nothing like his pics and just didn't like him.

Going on two years, he eventually found me on FB, found my husband too and messaged him. Thank fuck I had saved all the Kik messages to prove I didn't sleep with him.

Some seriously unwell people on here
