I've been on here about a month.

I am with somebody, and they don't know I'm here yet, and I've made that clear on my profile.

I've sent a handful of messages, (maybe 10) to strangers. I've been polite when they state that's what they want, I've been straight to the point if they ask. I've included a face pic when asked.

Mostly the mails are unread. Sometimes they are deleted and I'm ignored. Sometimes they look at my page and I assume I'm not for them and rarely I get a reply. I have not yet met, and think I never will.

The forums are where I've found the friendliest bunch. And where I will reside until I leave here.

This is just my experience, and rather than this sound like an Amazon product review, it's more a thank you to those who make this place welcoming to everyone. And a reminder that you might not fit in where you want, but where they want you, you'll fit in.

Many women look at the profile before opening the message, and as it says in the 1st sentence that you are in a relationship they may not feel the need to read your mail.

They could have open your message and then marked it as unread, you will never know. Plus there is the ability to not show on peoples who looked at me list.

Yeah the forums are far more friendly than the rest of the site. And far more genuine.

Stands to reason though, most of the timewasters dont even notice there is a forum. The people who spend time here are more likely to be ones who actually participate in the lifestyle rather than the posers and attention seekers.

We dont send many messages out now. We've been around a couple of months and kind of tapped out all the single female profiles in our area who pass our attraction threshold. Around 20% replied, of those most ended up being timewasters or flakes, so in terms of this place as a swinging site its effectively defunct for us now, since we decided after our last meet that couples probably arent for us (We still keep the option open, but at the moment socially only and we would decide on play after that).

But i still like the forums, so its not been a total loss. And we actually do have a social meet with a lovely couple tonight who we seem to really get on with. So we've potentially made a couple of good friends through it

The forums are fun informative and a little crazy at times, I would of left by now if they wasn't here,

But I think most of the serious swingers don't even use them, They just get on with arranging meets and fuck

This was a post about my thoughts on how I've found things, it wasn't an invitation for a personal attack.

It was also not an outburst stating my disappointment and making a desperate plee for attention.

Nor was it stab at those referred to as 'time wasters'. You might think otherwise.

I try very hard displaying a nice placid tone in what is written, it might not come across in text all the time, we all know this.

I just thought I'd share how I've found things, maybe some will read it and have found the same, maybe you have found a different experience all together.

I enjoy the forums, people's views are what keeps the conversation moving, or it would become very boring.

As a single guy in the lifestyle , you are down there in the pecking order( numbers game).

As a married single guy, you are even further down( double standards for some).

As a straight married single guy, you are even waaaaaay down the line.

Now if you CANNOT accommodate, that's a further minus for you.

Chin up and love the forums. As someone said up there, it gets crazy sometimes and a lot of the times, tongue in cheek.

I hardly bother sending msgs these days, although I sent one yesterday purely because after reading their profile, I basically fit the bill of what they were asking, they had even looked at my profile before I had msged them. You can guess what happened next, I got a 'no ta' which is par for the course on here. So yeh, I stick with the forums, great fun to be had.

i love the fact that you feel welcomed here x

other opportunities arise as you get known. the forums are used by people who meet, socially and otherwise..i like to get to know a person before i approach them im very observational of peoples posts on the forum

it helps me get to know them better x i use the forums for this and other reasons

thank you for acknowledging something nice here..that has also been noted, received and appreciated x

The majority of the men I meet on here have never even heard of the forums. Its a nice feature of the site, but only a small proportion of Fab members use it.
