I see a lot of guys with the wrong ages on their profiles, just had one trying to tell me he was a certain age, and the accompanying picture looked 15-20 years older than that.

What have been your worst experiences of people lying about their age?

I had a man who reguarly used to rejoin fab with different ages.On one profile he was 35 and the next 52!.I always recognised his profile when he messaged me.Miss.

It's pretty special at times the lies people try and get away with!!!! Love the ones like that who really, really should have learned...

I've had some who were younger than their profile age just so they could message me as I have age filters.

I have had some real corkers! Photos 10+ years old and the guy about 10 stone heavier than the photos. It's sad, coz on every occasion that this happened, I walked away. It begs the question of why do they do it? They travelled (one came from Leicester) to meet me and I didn't play. It was a waste of (both our) time. I was hot (ish) at 19 and have photos to prove it, but what is the point of publishing them on my profile? I am nothing like that now. It's misleading and pathetic.

On most internet sites like Fab or other dating sites a very common profile text of something along the lines : "unable to change age as site wont let me due to error" etc.

Just shows insecurity and avoid. If they a were that bothered they would just create a new profile with the correct info on.

I met Alice the goon from Popeye.

I think they mislead people because they figure if they build up a friendship with someone. They can over look the lies and deceit when you meet them in person..

Women do it too. Ten years old seems to be the standard for those who do it. Giveaway is never adding new pics.

Also, if your weight changes, update your pics! Plenty of people will like your new body shape but not many of those who were attracted by your old body shape!

Have had this the other way around lol....one guy in particular...had 2 profiles at one point...one his actual age n one young enough to contact me...weird!

I got lost once couldn't find my car. I put up an update on fab asking for help. A kind young man 33 mailed me. Rushed to my rescue and got me back to my car. The shock was he was 63 not 33. He had changed his age so he could message me and help me out. I then had to break the news to him that you can only change your age once. So the poor guy who helped me out of the kindness of his heart is now 33 with an explanation below hehe

You can report your own profile and ask admin to change the age. When men have 'accidentally' set their age wrong, I 'help' them out by reporting the profiles to admin.

Such a shame they can no longer message women whose age range they fall outside after that...

Correct age here and I don't see the point of changing it, I don't want to waste people's time and wouldn't want a meet to be disappointed that I was a different age....

It's a number! who cares? Well I don't however, I know it's another choice people make about who they would like to see, the same as height, body type etc.

Yep. Met a guy who claimed to be 36 on his profile only to meet him and him to admit his birthday was tomorrow and he was going to be 50..

Eah, no shit.. I kinda noticed!

I've met older men that claimed to be younger and had messages off younger ones who changed their age up to chat to me...

I don't know why they bother as you can tell as soon as you clap eyes on them, well I can anyway
