FabSwingers.com forum: (Not) Hidden Veris

I have a conundrum. I have a whopping total of 3 veris and while they were all initially displayed on my profile, they now no longer are. I HAVE NOT hidden them, however the summary of what happened is as follows...

Veri No.1 has left the site - therefore veri text has disappeared.

Veri No.2 blocked me, the reason being was that she wanted to strike up a relationship, despite only having met me twice. One of those times was only a social as well. I was not keen on this kind of thing, she got the hump and blocked me.

Veri No.3 is still on here but has set their profile to hidden. Again veri text is now gone.

So basically anyone who _iews my profile will be thinking, 'He's hidden all his veris, he must be a right shit meet!' However this is not the truth, and while you only have my word for it, the text in all 3 veris were all very good re_iews.

Now I am by no means saying this is the only reason I never receive replies. I am well aware of the fact I am already pissing into the wind on here. However having my veris 'hidden' has turned what was once just wind into a full blown hurricane.

So I guess the question is, what am I to do about my verification situation?

There is no reason why your verification from the profile that is temporarily hidden should disapear. It's true we have lost a number of veris due to people totally closing their accounts, but we have never had a veri disapear when their profile has just been hidden.

Do sympathise with the problem. Maybe say on your profile that you haven't hidden your verifications.

I prefer not to meet people who have issues over verifications. I know it's different for men but I would say fuck you to anyone who frets about you hiding them.

Lots of people hide their veris. We don't tend to read the actual veri text, we look at the summary so that wouldn't bother us at all.

that's right, we have a veri shown from a friend who has gone temporarily hidden.

Get to a club or organised social, you can get a few straight away.

My first ever meet from here was from a guy with the veri tick but no veris displayed. I used my common sense and he turned out to be a lovely, lovely bloke. Ever since I couldn't give a flying hoop whether or not others display theirs. People leave the site; I've lost a few. It happens. Doesn't need to be any nefarious reason for it unless you're looking for reasons to back up your intuition that says 'don't meet this person'.

I don't display mine. If I get chatting with someone and we get on then I will let them see them if they really want to. So far it hasn'the been an issue

Now to any sane person, that would be the logical approach. However I have read on these here forums may times that a lot (maybe not all) women will not read your message or your profile before checking pics, stats and veris. With hidden veris being worse than none in some cases. So it seems pretty pointless to put it in my profile or mention it in a message.

It may be the case that the Fab gods do not like me and I should maybe take the hint and do one...

How does one meet people, if people do not want to meet you, because you haven't met people?

Go to an organised social. Go to a club, the bar staff or other customers will veri you after a chat. It's not difficult if you want them.

Well I suggested that, because we would probably take note if that was stated. Rightly or wrongly we do put put a certain amount of store in veris. However we also read every single message, and look at every single profile of those who message us. If the message and the photos interest us, we will then thoroughly read the profile if it's long. The last thing we will consider are the verifications, which we like to see and will read. But it can't be helped if those who verify you have left Fab.

If it was only one of them missing, I would possibly be given the benefit of the doubt by some people, but when it's all three missing it probably does send bad signals all over the place.

If someone states in their profile that 3 veris are missing because three people have left the site, I would believe them. We've had 3 extremely significant friends remove their profiles in the past year. It's not unusual. Besides, as the forum suggests not everybody thinks displayed verifications are important.

I think though the majority do place a lot of importance on veris, obviously , as you say not all.

OP why not get a club or social veri? I always wonder why people talk about this catch22, when the veris can be got relatively easily and the problem solved?

If you are really bothered then screenshot your veris as you get them and you can send via kik / WhatsApp etc and you have a copy even if blockedor they leave..... I have seen someone else do this

90% of what's discussed on fab is '1st world problems' its a site for fun.

veris arent the be all, but lots of people use them as a quick way to ensure they are talking to someone who meets.

Some people arent bothered, everybody can use the site how suits them. No problems for anybody

Anyone who thinks that must be thick, if it was a shit meet they wouldn't leave a veri at all. People who say that to you don't really believe that, they just want to nosy at who you met/fucked. None of their business, you display whatever veri you want whenever you want.

Personally I don't take a lot of notice of verifications. I only look at the summary to see if they are cam only verifications, because that to me means the likelihood of actually meeting is slim.

I have been on here several years now and in that time several of my verifications have disappeared due to people leaving. So I have just put exactly that on the bottom of my profile. I suggest you do the same.

^ This. But it is frustrating losing your veris, I've had a few really nice ones disappear when people have UNLOS'ed. Wish I'd screenshot them, in fact might just do that now in case of future UNLOSes
