There is rules, just not a list as long as your arm.

If someone has the preference of no kissing, no oral etc then we wouldn't really want to play with them. Since we have a preference for those things.

If you need Chemistry to do this ( as my wife and I do ), it can be far more difficult than you would think. It's similar to being single and dating: You can meet a hundred people who are nice, and maybe even attractive, but many times, there's just NO SPARK.

A lot of people do not need any chemistry to play, and that's cool, but not everybody is the same. We aren't looking for new best friends to share our entire lives with, but we have to have a little bit of mind stimulation for anything to happen.

we have met some lovely couples. we like to chat and socialise a bit first. If I am going to play with a couple I need to see the loving trust between them then I need to feel attracted to them both, luckily we have met quite a few couples where this has happened. Sometimes my hubby is not attracted to the lady, or the lady is not attracted to him....luckily he is happy to watch me indulge!

If normal is the majority, may be you are in the minority and need to change your request for"normal couples" and request "exceptional couples". In line with this, the level at which there is a spark for you appears to be higher than average. This may be way why you are not meeting many people that appeal to you.

That is probably some really good advice for me and my wife, too.

We are to the point now where we aren't really trying to make anything happen. It seems like every time we try, it just winds up being a lot of back and forth that ends in disappointment and aggravation.

Perhaps we just aren't cut out for it.

I meant that a lot of couple's did not meet OP's definition of normal, and not that those couples were not normal. Of course those couples may object to being labelled normal!
