I expect women get lots of winks. But I have never had a wink. So is it a useless feature for men?

I got a few in my time, I wouldn't say its useless.

When I've received a wink, I would send a message to that person or wink back depending on the info they've put on their profile.

Sometimes I only sent a wink to a lady because that was her preferred method of receiving interest.

After all it all comes to reading, writing profiles .

Back when I had a solo profile, I ended up chatting with a girl that had sent me a wink. It was flattering.

It wound up going nowhere, but it was fun for a while!

We like to wink as a sign of initial interest if we get a wink back we'll message. Quick and easy when don't always have time to do a decent message

if theres not a lot to wink at then we wont - i occasionally go on a winkathon - when i search but dont have the time to message i just wink - most look or wink sometimes message back and we take it from there

lets the person know you are interested

if i see a girl in the supermarket and theres eye contact i wink at her.

i dont get why some stipulate no winking lol

Had to laugh at this.

I reckon I probably get about half a dozen a week...but to be fair maybe half are from guys lol...same with pics.....perhaps they can't read as my profile is rather clear that I'm straight

I can't believe that no one has found your profile interesting enough to send a wink. You've been here 3 weeks, looking for a wide age range of between 20 and 45, so even though you can't accommodate and looking for friends, as a nice guy, you should have been appealing enough to warrant a lot of winks. Your photo is really hot too, very sexy and leaving enough to the imagination without giving too much away. I'm assuming the black silhouette is to show your artistic side? Maybe there's a problem with Fab's servers or your settings have 'opt out of receiving fabs on photos.' It's worth checking.

Seriously though, as the above was tongue in cheek, a wink usually means that the viewer of a profile sees something of interest and sends a wink. They might not want to chat or take it further, but having a faceless profile really has to rely on the profile text to appeal. Would you fab someone with the info you have on yours?

Thanks for all the replies. I understand everyone's point about not having my profile pic on.

I have had a profile previously for 1 year and pics were visible. I have now had a couple of winks. So more than happy now thanks.

I get the odd wink. Usually from couples. Not had a meet from couples yet but some interesting conversations. Tend to send winks to people I'm interested in but live a distance from me to see if they are interested. Not very successful though.
