Had a very nasty message from a guy who inferred that we had met and I had previously blocked as he could not accept that I did not wish to meet him after we had a meal. Now he has clearly come back on with a new profile although no verification and his.message was vile and nasty.

I did report him and block him but have not heard back.

Anyone else experienced this and what is the best way to handle tgis.? I was quite upset at the time and taken aback by this.

We get this s a lot. The same guys pop up a new profile every 5 mins, and from talking to people, we know they have been sending abusive texts.

Other sites block by IP address for repeat offenders. I know this doesn't solve the problem, but would certainly help to cut it back a lot.

you've done what you need to do..lot of assholes everywhere...but, it does not in any way give 'genuine' or otherwise,men, a bad name at all; oft repeated,this is clearly nonsense....all or the majority of women on here have had a shit message at some point...if this stupid idea held true, there would be no women on here at all...tired of hearing it!

Did you make it clear you wouldn't be meeting up again or did you just block him when you got home later? Just curious as to why he felt the need to go through so much just to send a vile and nasty message

No they don't!! After a plethora of neanderthals and arse holes when a decent person mails it stands out a mile!! They are in fact making things easier for making you stand out for the right reasons and by removing themself as any competition to you!

As for the abusives making up new profiles op I'd just select to stop newbies mailing you on filters .That may stop further contact from him. Good luck and hugs op x

Yes there's a couple of guys who do this to me, I've given up blocking them because they keep coming back under new profiles.

They seem to pipe up every few months and I just ignore them now, Sshame they can't just move on.

I wouldn't let them get you.

Most ISPs do not issue static IP addresses so all you need to do is to reset your router and the ISP will assign a new IP address.

I,'ve had harassment from a man, a couple and a female. I blocked them, they made new profiles several times. This is what I did, first say, sorry not interested politely, next time say fk off, bit rude but you have to speak in a language they will understand. A mention of reporting to Mr plod usually works, have had to resort to that twice. It is not a crime to be on an adult dating site.x

I've had the same with this before, only advice I can give is use your filters and don't let new or unverified people message you or they will just continue doing it.

That is the only way to handle it.

There is no policing system that can stop people creating new fake profiles.

Even blocking IP's would not be fool proof. It would probably take about 10 mins to circumnavigate an IP block.

I got attacked a few months ago by a meet ,after speaking for a few weeks we met ,he seemed nice to start with then after we had sex I asked him to go and that's when he turned on me ,he punched me in the ribs then left ,I was shocked and upset ,I went to report his profile but he deleted it and they called his number that was dead as well ,makes me wounder if he has done it before ...

The cheap git shouldn’t have put it on expenses. You never know, it might have cost him his job.

a quandary, could you change my mind?

Seems this happens alot, think more to the ladies and couples.

A couple of months ago I was chatting to a friend all of a sudden the message changed and she went quiet.

A few days later she told me she had received a nasty message from a man, I told her to ensure she reports and blocks, but it's another person who will open up another profile and it will happen again..

He's just a very sad individual, wonder if he would do this to a man? Especially face to face, I think not!

Most ISPs do not issue static IP addresses so all you need to do is to reset your router and the ISP will assign a new IP address.

That assigns a dynamic ip, not a static ip, which is what would be blocked.

Hard I know, but it's nothing personal.

There was a guy in this area (Suffolk) the other day who was evidently on a woman hating mission; his profile name was being quoted in statuses left right and centre as he'd upset so many women. 'Rudeboyeveryday' or suchlike was his name.

You'll always get a handful of nasties on here, but take some comfort that some of us single guys are nice chaps. ??

I call them MBB's. Mummy's Basement Badass's. Just picture them sat in their Mum's basement in their off white Y fronts tapping away furiously on a keyboard. They're notoriously bad spellers. This because their keyboard is so.......ahem.....'sticky'

This is why I'm.hidden for a bit, 3 different people have abused me within a few days. Asking for fake verification after messaging, abusing me when I say no, calling me a whore when unturned them.down, and accusing me of being a fake profile when I say no to a meet. It's rattled me a bit to be honest, this profile is new but I'm not new to this and its really put me off meeting now.
