what's the etiquette rewarding messages

As a recent quality addition to this site... (if I do say so myself) ha ha

I'm a bit confused as to what is being pushy or being stand offish.

As if you've sent someone a message to which they've not replied yet it hasn't been deleted. Is this a opening to sell yourself whilst the irons hot? Or do you do nothing.

Ladies answers please? Xx

Personally, if I send a message then that's it. I don't look to see if anyone's read it or deleted it or deleted it without reading. I don't often look at 'whose looked at me' or winks or friends requests. I wouldn't send a follow up if you saw someone had read your message and not answered it. A no reply is a 'no thank you'.

Best thing to do is send a polite message then move on. If someone is interested they'll respond. Try not to fixate on your sent messages as people handle their mail differently. Never send a second message if your first hasn't been responded to.

Most women get hundreds of mail n depending on their humour they may read ur message r sometimes they just delete all messages cos of so many

Send said message and wait for a wink or reply.Dont beat yourself up if they have deleted or not read it as your not for them.Dont make the mistake of bombarding women with "why not"questions as it comes across as being pushy.

No. If you have sent a message and not received a reply, it is a no. Any more and you are a stalker.

We have hundreds of messages to answer and as we always respond, this can take some time, so maybe patience is needed

Do men really think like this? Women don't reply so they are playing hard to get?? Personally if I haven't replied I have NO interest in you what so ever. I just haven't deleted your message.

With us sometimes real life gets in the way and it can take a few days(sometimes longer) for us to reply. We have often read a message then marked it back as unread so we know we still need to reply to it.

I don't always reply straight away. Do what you want to do and accept the response. If you get abuse report it.

Actually, the correct response is to get really miffed and rant in the forums about women/ couples being ignorant. The rant absolutely must contain the line "these time wasting blokes who spoil it for us decent guys". .

Being serious though - that's what guys do multiple times every day. It never goes well and shows slack of understanding that many women are completely inundated and can't reply to all messages. Don't do it, no matter how much the old boy is grumbling and feeling left out.

I'd someone hasn't replied, I think it's best to do nothing. Either they're deciding what to do about it or haven't bothered deleting yet.

You Dont Need to Know, right now

Don't obsess about the status of your sent items. There is no way you can second-guess what someone is thinking about you, as everyone uses their inboxes differently.

Concentrate on your inbox - if people have replied or winked you, they are the ones you have a realistic chance with. Where you've messaged and had no reply DON'T follow up with another message - they either will reply to your first message or they wont. But hassling them for a reply will only push away people who are still 'thinking about it'.

If it was a particularly attractive profile, hotlist them, and message again NO SOONER than a month later. Don't refer to your original message ... no-one likes a stalker.

I always seem to end up with about a hundred unread messages.

If I reply to fifty there's more there than when I started.

It's an impossible task to give every message the attention it's sender feels they deserve.

I have a job. A family. A life. And a swing life in that order.

This is a difficult one and one that need a different answer (imo) to what time of the day it is and what day is is.

I can get 2/3 messages in an hour and I reply. Sometimes i get 20/50 a day and just delete, delete...I'm sure I miss a lot of nice guys this way.

Sometimes I will reply if a guy has bothered to send 2 messages (non-pushy ones). So it's a balance of being persistent in a non-pushy way (for me).

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

It takes me a while to decide whether to meet a guy or not. If I got a follow up message 'selling himself' I'd delete both.

Best thing to do is to make your initial message the best it can be so an unsolicited follow up message is not required. Don't pester!
