You can contract certain STIs from oral, although the risks are lower than unprotected penetrative sex. As a swinger, you are having sex (inc oral) with people who have possibly had sex with lots of other people. We do not know the status of our play partners, so regular STI checks are adviseable and for those who want to take extra precaution, blow jobs with a condom (Dams for lady love).

Plenty of people enjoy oral without a condom and don't contract anything, but it depends on how much of a risk you want to take.

I have had oral with lots of new play partners over the years and I have chosen to do so without a condom and have never contracted anything; I also get checked for STI's every 3 months though.

On the flip side, it's also worth noting that you can pass on Herpes via oral sex if you have a cold sore on your mouth. Cold sores are caused by HSV-1 and 40% of genital herpes is contracted via oral sex and HSV-1.

Might sound like I'm stating the obvious to most here but the OP is obviously not very clued up on how STI's are contracted, so thought I'd throw that in there!! lol

Yes, there are definitely risks involved and the risk of something bad happening is increased after he has shot his load.

I have done it and I choose not to and accept the risk. For me personally, I just don't like the feel of the latex in my mouth and the lube/spermicide can be a bit yack afterwards depending on the brand. The flavoured ones are vile! lol The guys haven't really enjoyed it as much either (despite my expert oral skills PMSL) and I just gave up and took it off!! lol

I've also used a Dam on a female, more for the curiosity than anything and it definitely affected sensation, although it was easy to use and didn't seem as yack as condoms.

I know the risks, I accept the risks and get myself checked. That's my stance though and I know others who are really against unprotected oral.

Any form of unprotected sex carries risks but oral sex carries fewer risks than vaginal or anal sex. If u suffer bleeding gums it increases the risks and so some health care sites advise u not to brush ur teeth before giving head....nice!

Ive only sucked one cock, was a really big turn on and even tho the tranny was clean and had been tested it still left me to wonder. I was hoping more people would say use a condom its the way forward. Im not at a position where i want to get an std test every couple of months.
