Outside age range msg's

Evening all, can I just check that if you have a set age range, anyone outside that range should not be able to message you?

Gold member or not?

And the only way they could is if you've previously chatted prior to changing your age range choices?

I can't message the you due to be outside your age range so I'd say it is working. Sure supporter status doesn't matter

If its a couple then if one of them is in your age range they can message you

I only have singles to msg between 40-49.

Sorry couples...

I'm still playing about with filters after 8 months, just trying to see what gives me the least hassle

You need to set filters too, otherwise there is just a warning but you canm still message

OP it sounds like you are doing the filters right.

Some people put their age preference on their profile but don't realise you need to set the filters. Think that's what the poster above was referring to.

Even with filters said, if you have previously had contact with someone of winked them then the filters won't work

this is the main reason most people don't reply to say "no thank you" to mail, as it bypasses the filters

I've just turned 46 and most folk have filters set from 18-45 so my chances of messaging folk have shrunk by around 50% it's a bugger but hey that's life xx

I get out side my age range all the time. I've SHOUTED at admin too and still get them. I'm a silver supporter I think

If you have a hard age range is 30-35 only -then no one outside can message you direct. That doesn't apply to chat rooms

Being a supporter has to relevance on the message filters; I'm not one and only people I've exchanged messages with before can still message me
