Do you mean, "How do you mark threads as 'read' so that they don't appear in the list anymore ??"

You can't

Yeah, I can see that could be difficult if you don't want someone to know just how long you have been on the site! Other than that, why delete them???

THat is one thing that I and it looks like many others didn't even consider when we had threads on people who play away!

Perhaps Admin could preform this service for you!!!

"i mean, i like to get rid of all threads ive looked at, otherwise its like keeping e-mail forever"

Why is it? Doesn't it keep a list of threads you have POSTED on rather than LOOKED at?

Just stop looking at them?

Threads on the forum are there in perpetuity.

"i mean, i like to get rid of all threads ive looked at, otherwise its like keeping e-mail forever"

so if i understand this correctly you want a thread removed once you have looked at it???

you want exclusive rights to remove them once you have no further use with that thread......apply to be site owner and i suppose you could do that

or you could just avoid clicking on forums again

I think he would like what Redhot said......a place where you can mark the thread as read?

I've seen it on some sites where after you've read a thread, or if you're not interested in it, you can mark it read and it vanishes off your list, thus leaving a tidy list of threads that you want to look watch.

Not a bad idea tbh

What do you mean when you say threads?

Do you mean the posts in the forum (which change to lighter grey once read)?

Do you mean the provate messages you send and receive (which you can delete)

Or do you mean (I think) the profiles you have looked at but are not suitable (which you can block)?

I think that he is talking about the list of threads that he has posted on. The list you can access to see how threads you have been interested enough to post on are going!

As far as I can see this is the only list you can't delete. (when you come in the forums, the text link is on the left near the top!) It just sits there and is an indication of you timescale posting on threads..

I have some on my list that are over a year ago, so you can imagine that if you were "playing away" and your (obviously) better half found the site, he/she would be able to gauge how long the profile had been open! Or maybe some stuff has been posted that might identify people if the profile was found.

Can't see any other reason for wanting it deleted!

Unless you looked at what you posted previously, decided it was a load of shite, and wanted it removed to avoid the shame of having your half baked opinions come back to haunt you.

It could be a popular function if it was introduced.

"how do u get ridof all threadsu looked at"

Popt several abusive comments and wait for the threads to be removed....

...only drawback is you'll get banned eventually.

There's always a drawback!

This is a bit like a murder mystery weekend... without the body of course. Lets place all the little clues together and solve the mystery.

Is it sad I felt a slight tweak of excitement just then?
