A big salute to all those who first "Read" messages and then Mark as Unread.

What's the point?

Because you may want to reply later and don't want the person who sent it to think you read it and isn't going to bother answering

My Own Little World

I do it on our couples profile if it is a message that needs both of us to agree on and hubby is at work.

And alternatively.... because I can.

because i delete all my read messages only. and am collecting unread messages to pass the boredom of looking for a decent guy to fuck.

London and France

To remind themselves to come back and read it again later?

Or

Because they can?

Or

Does it matter in the slightest what people do with messages?

What's the point of stalking your sent items? Just move on. If they're interested they'll write back.

I didn't think you could make a message unread after you read it?

If one of us has read it, we will mark as unread so the other can read it. Common sense really (Mr)

No it's not it's quite simple, you send a message,if the receiver likes it they respond,if they don't they delete.

or, if for instance, they are about to log off, have a quick glance, and decide to reply when they have more time...or is that not acceptable either?

Just as I said,if they like it they will respond, not necessarily immediately

Because they wish to book mark them and revisit them in amongst a mass off messages ?

We do it if one of us is on the site and we get a message. It is always because we both like to read the message before replying if it is from someone who we have had no contact with before.

So the other half knows it's a new message when he logs in. Simple

I do it if I've just popped on to have a quick glance and intend to get back to the message later. Reminds me that I have to reply to it.

It was an attempt to cut down on the "my messages always get deleted by couples" threads on the forum.

I guess it kinda worked?
