Depends what time you go back to the hotel, I've been in a room with 6 you just have to make sure the receptionist isn't at the desk or you share the key cards out

They get funny about extra people turning up, so as long as you're all guests of the hotel they're unlikely to care unless someone complains. Technically it's against the T&Cs though.

You don't normally need to go past the desk there do you?

The desk at this particular premier inn is not at the front entrance, but they can see the entrance from there, it's through another set of doors and you don't go past to get to the lifts either.

If you are going to xtasia before, tell them on booking and usually they will try to find a room on the top floor for you lol.

That said, as long as your not making too much noise I music blaring they usually aren't too bad there.

When busy they use more than one floor. Tell them you are at Xtasia when you book (in advance) ask for the discount that is normally given (unless bank holidays etc...).

They make sure no families etc on those floors...they don't mind nocturnal meanderings.

5 in a room (not 5 staying in a room there lol) is fine...and certainly not unusual!

I heard this from a few friends who attend xtasia. Last time I stayed, a fair while ago now, they knocked on my room and a few others around as they could smell smoking. Several times. Drove me mad as a non smoker.

Do you wink at the receptionist as you say "7th floor" and does she nod to silently acknowledge the agreement

Many hotels don't mind as long as no extra guests stay over. You've paid for yourselves to use the facilities so asking for five extra sets of towels will not go down well.

However generally hotels don't mind if a few people visit. If you're at all concerned, do not all arrive at once. Try to keep the noise down, as the only other thing they don't like is guests being disturbed.

The only issue I have ever had with multiple people in one room is a hotel telling us we needed at least two beds if more than two people were booked in.

It all depends on the hotel and their rules

on the road to nowhere in particular

It's always best to consider how many are in the room when ordering room service

I think they would be used to it by now. If you get too loud they knock on the door and quickly ask you to turn your t.v down.

Invite then in, get them REALLY embarrassed.

Yeah coz all us hotel staff love being sexually harrassed at work

This was a rouse to get to see how many people were in the room. They've been funny last two times I've stayed there.
