Right we have organised a meet with a lovely lady at a hotel we have no concerns with the lady but have never done this before.

Just worried the hotel check in will notice three people and only one room.

Don't stand together while checking in . Once you have your key then don't worry about people seeing you , people are in and out all the time nobody takes notice

Yep. As said above. Reception never care. People use hotels for legit meetings all the time.

If three of you checking in is an issue for you, you 2 check in first and tell the lady your room number and she can head for the room.

We do hotels more weekends than not and you soon get used to the fact that to the receptionist your just another body floating past the desk.

We have a room booked for a night out tomorrow and will probably end up with 4 or 5 in there!

We have already arranged to meet her in the bar for a chat and a few drinks first.

Good advice though, thanks

Even in the strictest of hotels you're allowed to have people visit in your room. Of course the earlier your guest is visiting, the less hassle you'll have.

Generally speaking, hotel staff know what goes on in their rooms and they don't care as long as you're not disturbing other guests and not wrecking the place.

You don't all have to check in together. Once you're checked in, one of you could come down and meet your guest.

Two people walking around a hotel is perfectly normal. Sometimes you walk into a hotel knowing the room number but you don't quite know which direction the rooms are. If you aren't skilled enough to look and move like you know where you're going, you may draw attention to yourself

Hotels don't care they have seen it all before . As long as you are not overtly noisy or screw in the corridor no one will care

Thats where your wrong we do care, we have an obligation to peoples health and safety we have to keep note of how many are in rooms for fire regulations, yes people can visit rooms but have to leave, our time is 9pm and if any one comes back with more than the designated 2 to the room i will stop access

I'd say if it a big chain hotel like holiday inn or premierinn you wouldn't have an issue 2 of u book in the just call her and tell her room number. If it's smaller hotel might be s bit trickier.

I don't know which hotel you work at but I'd be surprised if it is a mainstream hotel.

Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Travelodge (large ones), Best Western, Radisson, Hyatt, Hilton, Ibis, etc, etc, etc

None of them really care what you're doing in your room. As long as you're not disturbing other guests or doing something silly like trying to walk bare arse from the elevator to your room, you can pretty much have any amount of people in your room.

Of the many other things they have to worry about keeping most of their guests happy who want the earth for the discount room they've booked, groups of adults walking round the hotel, is the least of them.

If you book a family run B&B in somewhere like Brighton or Bournemouth, then you may have a nosey receptionist trying to play Sherlock. Stay at any other decent hotel chain and even some larger independent ones and you'll be fine.

Like i did before, i checked in 30 min before the lady i was meeting and then told her the room number and directions to the room, no need for reception desk for her. All good

In my experience of using Traveloges almost weekly, there is rarely if ever anyone on reception to see who is coming or going.

If you need to check in, you have to buzz for someone.

Was in the same hotel a few times and we had a fire alarm twice and had to evacuate to the car park, the female staff were all over the firefighters once it was established to be a false alarm , think one of the waitresses had a bit of fun later . Premier Inn now have a lock on the internal door at reception so you can't just slip past to the rooms, I meet in the bar of the eating place next door and walk the lady to my room , never had any problems not getting someone in.

Arrive first, text them the room number and directions to it and if the hotel asks about visitors, just say 'yes, our friend will be joining us later.' It's best to give the hotel the car registration of your friend to avoid unwanted parking fines.

I've learned this through experience.

To my thinking if you checked in and then the woman escorted the other woman up to the room I bet no one would even notice.

If the male ecsorted the other woman up then staff might because they have already seen the man with his partner.

But to be honest I doupt weather any of the staff would care

Good point, They don't care. They deal with all kinds of people everyday, from a room for a few hours to rooms for a week or so. It pays their wages.

All you need to say is we need a room for the night and we'll be meeting a friend later that's popping in to see us. Job done.
