I am here looking for a little (no jokes please) help and understanding.

Over the past 12 - 18 months I have started to have erection problems .

Sometimes getting 1 is difficult other times it's keeping the bugger hard that is the problem.

The worst example of this was in Cupids about 8 months ago... I was invited into a room by a great couple and the Mrs was stunning and did all the right thinks so to speak but I just couldn't perform!!! And I was mortified.

So much so I actually left this site briefly and haven't had the confidence to back to any club since.

I have tried the cheaper versions of Viagra and they do work but the side effects are horrendous! Heartburn, pounding head, dry mouth.

Can anyone confirm if real Viagra have the same symptoms?

As I am now at the point of swallowing my pride and going seeing the quack in the hope that he can help.

I find the blue pills give me an awful pounding headache, try the White ones and drink plenty of water, also don't put pressure on yourself to perform as you need to be aroused for them to actually do there thing and you won't be if you are constantly worrying (and it'll give you a headache worrying)

While I use them more to keep a good night going, I'm sure they will work if you are having problems.

The only side effect I have noticed is notacibly higher heart rate but I kinda attest this to heat of the moment excitement and nerves as much as the pills.

I get mine from my doctor once a month at the price of a prescription (£7.00 odd)

All you have to do is be up front and honest as to why you want them (aka being a swinger and safe sex in a group environment being paramount)

I (rob) get this too. I've had a fair few issues with stress lately which can really easily have an impact on my abilities to stay up.

The more you think about things going south or the more performance pressure you put yourself under, the harder (or.... Not) things get.

Try and isolate anything that's been causing stress and give it time. Things will soon look up

Have you considered it may also be a problem you are compounding?

The fact you are having trouble makes you worried for when you do meet which makes you struggle to perform which makes you worried for the next time you meet... Circle of woe infinatum.

I know it's easy to say but it's possible if you can struggle through with the pills for a few meets you may find that infact there is nothing wrong downstairs and it's all up in your head?

Either way a trip to the doctor sounds like a good plan

I am now putting a lot of pressure on myself and know this is having a knock on effect.

But I can't honestly put my finger on 1 thing that as triggered this.... Perhaps it's just a build up of a few things.

I agree. my husband went through a period of not being able to rise to the occasion and got quite stressed by it. instead of using tablets, he changed his part of our profile to soft swap and this took the pressure right off because he knew that anyone who read our profile would know what they are getting without the embarrassment. 4 weeks on problem solved

im not sure what age you are and what your physical fitness is like but once you rule out physical issues, a lot of erection problems are psychological. My advice is not to get involved with blue pills/medication. You need to let your body respond naturally.

The trouble is of course that if your cock doesnt rise once when it should, then that pattern tends to repeat and you get flashbacks. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. I think you need to cut out sex and masturbaion for a while until you normalise again..

But I can assure you it definitely isn't down to lack of exercise I go to the gym a minimum of 4 mornings every week and im still playing a decent standard of rugby every week!!! Even at 40 so that can be ruled out.

Bit of an update! called the the doctors and what a nightmare that was.

The lady who answered wanted to know everything apart from what was left on my mortgage.

I came very close to saying... Well it's like this love "I haven't had a proper good hump in about 12 months"

Thankfully I did manage to get an appointment without going into full detail.

(Albeit in 2 weeks time)

We find the easiest way to really enjoy the moment is to get to know the people you are meeting, we basically class all the people we sleep with as FWB (your Milage may vary being a single guy).

If medication is the way advised by your GP, ask if you can go on Verdanafil (Levitra) It works in a different way to Viagra and the side effects aren`t so severe. Still not a good idea to eat a large meal, a meal with fatty foods or drink with them. I`d give them a couple of hours to work too!. Worst side effect I`ve had was waking up with "gritty eyes" after I`d spent a lot of time in the jaccuzzi in Chams!

I'd recommend that you only take medication when they're appropriately prescribed for you. Everyone will have a different set of side effects and they can also vary over time.

If there are psychological influences, then do what you can to remedy this, including how you're engaging partners, the sequence of activities, your pace and managing your mood and relaxation level amongst others. If there is more to it than that, then consider alternative options.

But I don't think that people should rush to ED meds, without a medical consultation.

its happened to me once , pressure to perform can put you off, on such occasions I now have a cock ring once your up it tends to stay up, with no side effects like blue pills ect, must be worth a try as long as you get one that fits properly as some can actually cut off blood supply if too tight

I had the problem quite badly a couple of years ago. As someone above said, the more you think about it, the worse it becomes.

I didn't use any pills but stopped wanking as much and listened to subliminal videos twice a day. I've heard Holland and Barrett sell a herbal supplement called via pro? Meant to be good for men's health and sold as a food supplement

Puirchase some organic natural Maca Root (powder form) and take it everyday with water

Also You can also try Zinc and L-arginine which help with blood flow but keep hydrated and you need to be working out ideally.

The maca root should be enough though.

Had this issue since last year. There's even a paragraph at the start of my profile, warning that there's no penetration guarantee.

Must be psychological, since I can get erections fairly easily, at most other times (the biggest and longest-lasting, being during the night).

Two scenarios kill it stone dead:- when I'm about to poke someone (can go down like a flat tyre), and when I'm asked to show it on-cam (absolute kiss of death).

if you can get an erection but loose it upon penetration , a cock ring should work, you need some hardness for a cock ring but when you do get hard it stops the blood flowing back to the body, take some time with the size too big they wont work, too small they work too well and hurt

Over the past 12 - 18 months I have started to have erection problems .

I have been using Kamagra on a regular basis for the past 8 years in doses of up to 100mg. Initially I used to get a head ache afterwards but now the only noticeable ill-effect is a slightly stuffy nose.

However if you smoke, eat a fatty meal up to 2 hours before or drink more than 1 pint of 4.5% beer then you are wasting your time and money.

To give you some idea of how much money is still being made by the Viagra name a 10 tablet pack of 100mg generic Sildenafil Citrate can be purchased from a perfectly respectable "high street" chemist in any major city in India for as little as £3.00. The chances are that the Viagra sold by Superdrug are produced in India any way.

A word of warning don't mix tablets containing Sildenafil Citrate with Cialis as they are two entirely different drugs which work in different ways.

I had an issue for ages ..led to sexless marriage which in turn increasrd the pressure to perform.
