Hi all,

Soon I will have my first sex meet with a FAB friend. I've never had with a female before, so was wondering how I can keep safe. I've heard of dental dams, are those worth a try? And I've always wanted to do the scissor position but I don't think I will try that act with her as its too risky.

Condoms on toys and, with a particularly fond, fabulous fem friend of mine, a hilarious protocol to remember which end of the double ender belongs to each of us. Also honesty about how each have and do play with others to allow for decisions to be made. Also, non STI related, but sensible - no long, sharp, spikey fingernails (ouch). Have fun.

Condoms on toys is all I do with female partners.

I've tried using dental dams, but didn't get on with them. They make the pussy taste horrid and the act a bit clinical. Much the same as I won't give head to a guy who wears a condom.

No long spiky fingernails.

Thanks for the heads up, I won't use dental dams then ??! I actually got my nails done a week ago, but will now need to book to get them taken off.

With toys, as long as they have been cleaned and you use a condom on any they you or the other person owns and will be used on with other person any risk is minimal.

Scissor position, again the risks are certainly less than penatrative sex, making sure neither party has any cuts from shaving etc down there.

What you have to decide is what you feel happy and comfortable with, no one else can decide that for you.

I'd wear latex gloves rather than get fake nails removed or cut real nails. Apart from not wanting to waste the money removing fake nails, or in my case cutting real nails that have taken months to grow, I rather like the feel of the latex gloves, it has a kinkyness to it. Non latex for those will allergies of course.

We use just one or two toys but you should do what comes naturally to the two of you. There are no hard-and-fast rules. The only thing I would say is that if you have ever watched lesbian pornography, then forget what you saw

I often wear gloves too. I'd hate to catch someone with a nail. Especially if fisting or anal. It may seem a little clinical but I'd rather that than hurt someone. It gives me the confidence to use my fingers a little harder or faster than being self conscious of hurting.

I constantly change condoms on toys too or make sure I have two lots of toys with me.
