Hey all,

Well myself and my FAB friend have arranged our first play meet this weekend. But I'm super nervous, the only person I've had sex with was my ex and we were in a very long relationship. She is also a woman, so it would too be my first time having sex with a female. I'm not sure if I can go through with the meet, or it maybe it's just my nerves.

What should I wear? Any suggestions? And how did you guys know that you absolutely wanted to go through with a play meet. I'm super nervous.

Tell her how nervous you are and ask if you can change it to a social?

When i split with my ex, i joined up to another site before here and arranged to meet a guy, then i got really nervous about it and he actually suggested we meet for coffee instead and that made me less nervous.

No idea what you wear, am rubbish at getting dressed myself.

Don't worry. Just try and relax and go with the flow.

Play meets are meant to be fun. So if at any time you don't enjoy yourself then don't be scared or nervous to say.

Have a good time. X

I always get nervous before meeting, even if its just a social. Its perfectly natural, especially if its your first. Just take your time theres no rush, the person you're meeting will probably be nervous too

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies.

We already met for a social a couple of months back and we both hit it off- even though I was so shy . We've been talking on and off for about 6 months now, so I feel more comfortable with her. But I guess I feel like this is a step forward in my life...As I have never done this before!

Oh and do you think it's appropriate to talk about STD's??

When it comes to being nervous, I think everyone has this. I had never had sex with a man until we started using this site and my first time was a very nervy affair. He wasn't the best either but it was a learning curve. He was a little pushy and not gentle in any way. Communication is vital in these situations, say how you feel and if she is on your wavelength, she will help you go with the flow.

As for discussion of STD's, I always feel this should be open and honest. However, the reality is a much different affair. We have talked to one or two we have met about visiting the GUM clinic for screening and they seem to misunderstand why we are going there, as in that we have something already.

She's possibly feeling nervous to so tell her how you feel, she might be relieved!

Half the battle on here is finding someone you find attractive so now you have relax and enjoy

We arranged our meets at the very last moment. I knew I would change my mind or make an excuse to back out if we'd arranged too far in advance. I would have thought most people have a few nerves when meeting someone new and if you feel uncomfortable once you're there you can always change your mind.

Good luck.

I personally wouldn't bother talking about STDs unless it just cropped up in conversation. You don't know who to trust on here as being honest, no matter how long you take getting to know them.

Don't be nervous! I've been nervous before all our meets involving another woman so far - mainly because I feel like I don't fully know what I'm doing yet with women and I worry that I'll be disappointing! So far the nerves have melted away very quickly once things get underway. It sounds like you know each other pretty well, and if she knows you're new to this I'm sure she'll be expecting some nerves and will do her best to help you through them.

Her xx
