Hiding profile

If i was to hide profile to take some time out from new messages would i still be able to send and recieve messages from friends ,also will i be able to put up a status in this time too please thanks

Best way to do it is to set your filters to the highest level. As in looking for people between the ages of 99 and 99.

I know it sounds silly, but it would stop new people messaging you but friends still can.

you can always receive message from friends, you don't even need to add them to friends to message each other even if you've already messaged them before.

so you could even have your profile unhidden and filters on to block everyone and they can message you, if that helps.
