I've been searching all day for a meet today, and nothing, I've had just a couple people reply with a polite no thanks but that is all. Is there something I'm doing wrong. I'm not rude or pushy in my messages, I tell them about myself and what I think of them

I think it's probably quite rare for a single man to get a short notice meet. If you're able it's probably best to try and set up meets in advance

We've always found people mainly meet at the weekends, and short notice meets without some sought of build up are rare

To be honest, the fact that you say you've been "searching all day" sounds like it's the problem.

You've done well to get even a couple of "no thanks".

It sounds like a rather desperate, scattergun approach and probably involves sending loads of messages, many to women you don't really match up that well to.

Fab just doesn't work like that. It's the number one cliche, but it's better to be patient (as Shag always says ). You're a very different guy to me in terms of age etc, but I'd say that whoever the guy is and wherever they are, there's probably not more than one woman in their area they fit the bill for at any one time.

I think the guys who have success are ones who bide their time and wait until they see a profile, or update or a meet request where they really tick all the boxes and just have a good feeling about. That could well be one a month.
