Hello ! We are hoping to meet a bisexual chap but most messages we get are from straight male profiles where they say they are bisexual in the message content .

We've looked but not found any way to set messages to bi profiles only . Is this actually possible ?

Thank you We know how to SEARCH for bi men but we are not sure if we can RESTRICT incoming messages to bi men only. Xx

Still message them even if they put straight as 9 out of 10 aren't straight they just put it on their profile.

It's not possible, but wish it was :/ Seems 75% of guys on here are actually bi/bi-curious but too 'ashamed' to admit it, or feel it'll hurt their chances with women.

A lot of men say they are straight in their profile as some people on here won't meet bisexual men. So they just say straight for the meets

One tip, youll get a lot of straight guys saying thier bi for a chance at a shag because most bi guys won't message without being able to see the male half.

After all they will be playing with both of you, would you message a profile with no pictures?

Thank you all very much for your replies !

At least we were not being total idiots in not finding an incoming message bisexual men only filter as there does not seen to be one from what you say so it eliminates that !

It does take up oodles of time when you get lots of messages and the profile says straight but the message either says " I am bi " or starts laying out the degree of bi stuff they are prepared to do.

Much appreciated. Thanks to all for taking the time to help us out

Unfortunately you can't prevent straight guys messaging without blocking the fun ones too.

Same as you can't search for couples where he is bi and she is straight either.

I think the problem with those sorts of filters is that sexuality is fluid and changes as people have more experience. This means that it would need to be a changeable option rather than fixed like the age filter has become...otherwise you'd condemn people to a fixed, one time option when they have a genuine shift...then you have the problem that, like the smoking option or the public picture filter, people change it to get around the filters...I think we do have to accept that we have to do our own leg work here for some options and can't expect the site to do it all for us for free...

I agree to a certain extent, people would lie to get round filters.. But it would be useful though...there's many won't meet me because I'm bi, and would be a nice feature if people could use that sort of filter, like the don't show people who block single guys, one for those who block bi guys would be great...

If that makes sense?

I have seen some posts in threads over a period of time where couples looking for bisexual men have said they have declined any bisexual men who don't have that they're bisexual on their profile - so that seems to be a built in filter.

It filters out the bi guys who say they are straight.

It does not though . We have "looking for bi men " in our profile text but we still get many. Many messages off straight male profiles who say they are actually bi . Saying what you seek seems to make no difference hence the search for the filter which does not exist x

We only meet guys who put bi on their profile.

We know some bi guys put straight for various reasons, and some straight guys pretend to be bi to get a meet, but to us it's an honesty thing.

We don't want to meet anyone lying on their profile to get a meet, it's a bit desperate, and not fair on the unsuspecting people that prefer not to meet bi guys.

What I mean is that it gives you the opportunity to filter out those who say they are straight on their profile but say they are bisexual in their messages.

I have to say when o search for couples I tick the box where both are bi.

When looking at couple profiles I have found there are always more pics of the female. And being no I want to see the male too. I'm not vain but I'm also picky about the type of male I meet and not seeing pics makes it more difficult.

I would love a setting on the profile that showed a past history of when people had changed certain settings, eg. smoker/non smoker, bisexual/straight.

Because then you could see those people who may have genuinely been straight and become more bisexual as time went on (1 change) or people who changed their orientation daily to suit matches!

I put a header on my new profile that we're only looking for bi males. I just ignore anyone straight who messages. If they can't read i feel sad for them but they still aren't what we're looking for.
