We state on our profile that we do not kiss. Our choice that we keep that for us.

We have just been rejected by what seemed a compatible couple because of this as they prefer kissing but DO NOT say so on their profile, and yes of course their preference.

They told us firmly that kissing was the norm.

Again fair enough in their experience it may well be.

We have swung as both singles and now as a married couple for some years, and yes to each other! And in our experience kissing is indeed not that common.

What do you all think?

i have always felt its the feeling behind who your having sex with that makes it intimate not the act its self

having sex and making love, although the same act is not the same thing as you dont share the same feelings between the people your doing it with

so if we can differentiate emotions during sex why not kissing

surly its the feelings behind who your kissing that makes it intimate not the act itself?

in all the years hubby and i have been swinging have only met one cpl who had the "No kissing " rule (maybe because it was their first meet ). honestly i didnt enjoy it, and constantly having to watch what i was doing .not kissing during sex is so un-natural to me i had to purposefully keep reminding myself not to to respect their bounderies .due to that and my perference id never meet anyone who states no kissing . i enjoy it and its certainly a huge turn on for me. so id not waste what lil free time i have on a meet which i wouldnt fully relax and enjoy. i certainly respect others wishes and likes and dislikes hence id not meet.

I've been swinging for over 10 years and I've never done kissing...... so that blows that theory out of the water!

To be honest, I've watched countless couples/singles get in on in clubs and have never seen kissing going on other than with their own partners.

Maybe clubs are different, different atmosphere and different rules, and I obviously can't see into locked rooms.... but..... no one seems to give a hoot that they aren't getting a snog.

That's the way we see it too, people will have oral and anal but keep kissing special, makes no sense to us either but such is life.

We couldn't have sex with a couple without kissing, it's part and parcel.

Surely in the end it's personal choice. It's hard to be empathic. You have to be in those other peoples shoes and minds to understand it.

We have not full swapped yet. There are 2 reasons. One of the reasons is that we wanted to keep something sexual for our own relationship as we prize this above all else.

For others the shear mental difference between making love and fucking is that special thing that they keep for themselves.

For others kissing is a physical symbol of their love and to share that around would feel un-natural.

For others kissing is simply a function that comes with sex is symbolise no more than attraction.

The best thing is we all have choice and can chose to meet others who match our physical and mental needs for sex.

We also have the ability to chose to wave our needs as a compromise for something else.

For example we love to kiss, but if Angelina Jolie said hey meet us but no kissing. Then we could chose to say no, or compromise for that particular lady (or couple).

ps The other reason we have not done full swing is because the missus on the whole prefers the girls. We are open to it (unlike when we started) but it's not a key criteria that we need to get from our swinging experience.

I have been swinging and met lots of people but in my experience only ever had one couple mail me about a meet and have a no kissing rule.

Kissing allows for a greater extent of passion and intimacy. I've never had a meet, but often wondered if people kiss or not.

I completely understand as a couple, why you keep kissing to yourselves and personally, think it shows a stregnth in your relationship. Not that nobody else is strong, it's just an example of one.

It would annoy me though, if someone tried to push you away from that preference. Nobody has the right to dictate things like that, in my opinion.

We have had lovely social meets with some lovely people but when we started talking about the do's and don'ts, the no kissing decision has stopped us meeting to play.

We recently started to include kissing men in our play, I can happily do without kissing as it doesn't really make much difference.
