Are winks a good or bad thing? I use them just to see if there is any interest

Just where I need to be.

Only time I looked at my winks was when I played a forum game. They are a handy tool if people look at them.I don't use or view them.

You Dont Need to Know, right now

Winks are a very bad thing LOL I never look at who has winked at me, and I would disable this facility, if I had the option. So at best, you are wasting your time. At worst, you are showing yourself as lazy. Why not send a message to the people you are interested in?

Easter just around the corner!

If you really like the look of someone I wouldn't wink if I was you,it will probably be missed. Some women have lots of messages,so don't bother even looking at winks

We use them just as a gauge of interest, if we wink and they wink back (or vice versa) then messages follow, like others have said it's like a wink or cheeky grin in a club to show the interest is mutual.

We always look at them and if we like we wink back. At lest if they then send us a message it's almost guaranteed to be read and replied to than ignoring their time and effort writing us.
