"What would be a good way to start some Dom play in the bedroom? Any advise on getting started would be very welcome. " Assuming you are the Dom - you need to understand the needs of your sub. You need to be able to know what s/he wants before they do. You need to demonstrate that you understand and stick to the boundaries set by your sub. Whenever you do something - read the reactions of their body and adapt what you do to give them the 'best' experience you can. Remember - trust is paramount.

" After play care is just as important, making sure the sub is taken care of, this could be talking through play, cuddles etc as all sorts of emotions can arise from it, especially harder play." I agree this is a key point too. We do talk about very normal things after and cuddle - to help with the come down. Like others have said - communication is the key. Trust is fundamental in my eyes and if you can get that, you can continually push your boundaries in a environment where you feel safe.
