Using other people pictures.

Hi.

We've just seen a profile where the "lady" was using one of our pictures on her profile. when I messaged and asked why they had done this, the user in no longer on site. I know what the persons username was. My question is should I report it to admin, and will they be able to do anything now the user is no longer on the site?

Keep an eye out in your local fab search for similar newbies over the next few days. We had a new local 'couple' pop up and delete every day or so for a week, each time with pics taken from adult blogs. Report to admin when you see them instead of messaging

Report them. Lots of picture collectors and fakes on here. The mind boggles.

Of course they can't do anything if they've left the site. Probably the best outcome is they became UNLOS.

You do have to wonder how stupid someone is to create a profile with pics stolen from this site

There is a couple on here that has a photo on their profile that I'm included in (Im not that bothered but it is without my consent)allegedly from last year but amusingly its about 10 years old! ... they also seem to not have aged..even though I have.

They do say imitation is the sincerest from of flattery. I've seen one or of our pix on other peoples profiles too.

Six months ago a guy stole my entire profile text and did this while on a forum.

Incredibly he had to be convinced by the forum that this was not allowed....

18 hours later he deleted and started again.

Lucky I spotted it

My last profile was stolen as well, in her defence she did contact me to ask for permission which I said yes to as she made out if was only my first 5 lines - when I next looked she had taken 95% of it.

I politely asked her to delete it which she did

It's happened with my pics, I'm not overly fussed. All that will happen is that if/when they actually get a meet it would be someone else showing up Sad and pointless

I was informed once that a couple of my pics were being used by a newbie on site.

It was a single man. He apologised and removed them but I still reported him.

I save pics to my phone of people I'm going to meet. That way I can recognise them when we meet and send them a a friend with other info in case I am killed.

The site photos you upload should display your Fab username...not strictly a watermark but something of a deterrent
