scholl party feet are good, ive tried a couple of others that shifted around too much, but the scholl ones were fine...id pretty much given up on high heels before trying these, theres nothing as miserable as that godawful burning pain under the balls of your feet!

Thanks for replying Anna. Would you recommend the whole insole or just the bit for the balls of the feet?

ive only tried the ones for the balls of the feet... i wear heels so rarely now, and its only the balls that seem to hurt so much...they made a huge diference...nothing worse than discovering early on in the night youre in pain and knowing it will only get worse! hope they help!

You girls have no idea how much your balls can hurt if you use the wrong gel

Bristol Area

A major part of the problem here is the type of shoes.

Many "high street" shoes encourage you to put the majority of your weight into the balls of your feet, as the heel part is wobbly, or the shoe in general can twist and bend.

A lot of shoes are just smooth inside too, causing your feet to slip forward. Both of these problems cause you to tense up your feet and ankles.

Look for shoes that are stiff, that don't allow any bending or twisting. A small platform will often do the job! A sturdy heel will allow you to push your weight down through your heels and take the strain away from your balls and quads too. (bend your knees a little bit when standing still, and rest into the backs of the shoes).

Ankle straps and fabric or suede insoles will also help.

I find shoes with a high instep give me burning balls of the feet, I now opt for shoes with a hidden platform...easier on your arches and soles

I'm used to my 'sensible ' shoes which have a hidden platform but these new shoe boots are going to be a killer

Great suggestion. Fishnets can be quite uncomfortable on soles of feet.

At long last. Finally. A thread about gel insoles! A victory for common sense, readers! And more importantly that perennial problem of fishnet tights foot discomfort. Tell me about it ... No. Hang on. Don't.

Cheers!
