The problem is lots of people claim to be able to to give a great tantric massage but have no idea what it actually is or what it entails and use it as a way to get meets or in some cases charge. Ask them about chakras or a few basic terms and they have no idea.

I've had the very briefist introduction to a lingham massage and so want more.

As has been said not purely sexual but lifted a genuine depressional period for week.

I spent time in a Sri Lankan monastery a number of years ago where I learned a number of ancient Eastern arts

Massage was but one of the delights.

Because of the complexity and time spent on a single massage I only use it for special occasions and with people who genuinely know what it is they are after

Many think they are into Yoni or Tantra and discover what they believe to be a tantric massage is not.

I don't know know much about Chakras . but i can find and deal with the odd knot and how to use the right pressure and movement .

Hi Kirsty, I have to agree I have had one and the feeling blew me away. It is on a whole different plane. Have not had the chance to repeat but would love to. Let me know if you need any practice giving as I for one would be a willing volunteer.

It's like adding the word Belgian to anything, to make it seem more tasty.

Or adding a laser pointer to something!

As with BDSM, s/M or whatever, it's become a social construct that's been mostly defined by the media or western commentators.

You have to first be able to meditate & I'm sure most who are superficially interested, will never bother.

True it has become something it's not in order to interest the main stream of society and numerous people claim to be experts or be able to provide the intimate tantric experience when in fact it no more than a sensual massage which is very similar to tantric massage but without the spiritual element which is so important in tantra, this watered down sensual massage is no more tantra or representative of a tantric massage than 50 shades is representative of bdsm.

Then that wouldn't be a tantric massage as tantric massage isn't about dealing with knots it in no way supposed to be a sports massage.
