Thanks but no thanks

As a couple on here we often get messages from guys.

We always reply even if it is to say "no thanks"

When I am away from home on my own ( hubby ) I try and contact couples who are advertising for guys.

In all the time I have only ever had one no thanks and another who spent ages arranging a meet but never appeared.

Is it really too much to just say no?

Maybe it's just us being too polite and friendly

Are you making contact from this couples profile? Because if a couples profile sent me a message for play with only the bloke I wouldn't respond. When my filters were open I did send 'thanks but no' as much as I could. Except when it was from the "wrong profile type" then I'd just delete and block

Do you have a seperate single male profile? Because as an aside I think many people may be a little wary of receiving a message from a couple#s profile where the man is looking tro meet. So it might not be about their perceived lack of politeness as to why you get nothing back

Yeah I try to send a thanks but no thanks and loads of guys are really happy and thank me for responding - but others get really arsy!

In my experience, in the past I've done the "thanks but no thanks", and nine times out of ten I've had the "but whyyyyy" response, whuch tends to lead to a massive messaging thread which ultimately ends in them saying "well it's your loss anyway." So now I read the message, check the profile, tick the Unread button and delete the message.

We always write back to say no thanks. And we almost always get nice responses back.

However, it is the nature of this site to not get replies back, so it isn't something that should really bother people. And as others have said, it is very iffy when just the male half of a couple wants to meet....
