So what are the rules regarding social meets? Are there any tips?

Behave as you would at any social meeting although the conversation might be slightly broader

I don't think there are any rules as such.

Apart from your own. e.g. if you don't want to be kissed then make sure they know in advance.

Well if I was meeting a non swinger couple or single man for the first time I wouldn't expect to discuss bondage or spanking with them

Not much of a problem for us. So we will be okay on that front

You'll talk about all sorts but the conversation will get round to Fab at some point. And you'll be able to talk freely & openly about it

It depends, I think you need to approach this with the person or people you're meeting and venue in mind. I would be very uncomfortable discussing detailed scenarios at a social or where we could be overheard but likes, dislikes, boundaries etc would be fine.

We have had really enjoyable social meets with only one at which I was made to feel extremely uncomfortable.

Don't pretend you have Tourette's for a bet

Remember this depends on the person though! For instance when chatting to a lady - some of us don't like the conversation to get too sexually direct!

I'd let the people you're chatting to take the lead to an extent there! Just relax and have fun!

If you've never been to a social before, the only thing I can liken it to is a birthday party, house-warming et cetera - where you may barely know anybody, but you will have something in common so you can make an effort to chat to lots of people there and people will be friendly! Hope that makes some sense?
