Swingers Etiquette:

One of the nicest things about the lifestyle is that most of us relate to each other with understanding, thoughtfulness, and common courtesy; just as we ourselves wish to be treated. If you employ the following etiquette suggestions or adapt them to your own situation, you should be a welcome participant.

Be aware that this is a lifestyle full of insecurities, uncertainties and fears. Courteously is how we all want to be treated - with kindness, thoughtfulness, understanding and sensitivity. In essence, courtesy is our treating people the way we ourselves want to be treated. Whether or not you are personally interested in swinging with someone, be polite. You never know, you may share many other interests or you may meet that person again, and they may introduce you to someone with whom you ARE compatible and do wish to share time. This is priority, nothing turns a person off faster and more effectively than an unclean body or un-fresh breath, so please be clean and fresh at all times.

If you are interested in swinging with someone, let them know in an inviting way; if they are interested, they will respond positively. If they are not and say "No, thank you," do not ask WHY. No amount of sweet talk or coercion on your part will change their mind and will probably work against you. Everyone has the right to say "NO" at all times, to anyone, without explanation. Do not ever forget that. Do not allow yourself to become sexually involved with anybody that you are not interested in. There is no reason to involve yourself in a scene that you are not comfortable with. You are in the lifestyle to enjoy yourself, so only do what you want, when you want and with whom you want. It is up to us to protect ourselves as well as our partners. The use of condoms should not offend anybody. Anyone not willing to take this precaution is acting selfishly and irresponsibly. You are not being accused of being unclean, but simply someone wishes to provide you both with protection.

No illegal substances of any kind are allowed. Failure to adhere to these rules result in being asked to leave the premises and a lifetime ban.

Most important, have a good time, act out your fantasies, explore your own sexuality and enjoy everything this lifestyle has to offer with enthusiasm, laughter and a positive attitude.

Good post.

All newbies should be sent this as standard.

And, maybe sent to long-standing members (a standard 'refresher') too, as some 'forget' or get too caught up in the 'politics' of swinging and don't remember it's meant to be fun. Nsa, consensual fun

Great post, definitely one that people should read, as a pp has said maybe something like this should be sent as standard to new members when they join, although I appreciate that could be a logistical problem.

Thanks op

Clubs are great fun, talk to people who have been to the club you intend to visit and ask the club for their rules and safety policies ... all good clubs will have them to protect you and the other guests ... happy swinging

I agree with everything you have said.

But surely that should be common sense? Its those that don't understand this that find they are having a hard time on here and at other places.

Great post....even though I am an experienced clubber, I still get insecurities. Be it I am to fat, not muscular enough, I don’t have have tats. I am not sexy enough for people to play with

What’s funny I know I have a half decent personality, and I know I respect people’s boundaries, and my veris say I can have a laugh.

For me, I am probably the crapest person in asking people to play - a number of people have said you should ask more but I like to take things naturally
