Has anyone had any problems with using a hotel (couple staying and single male joining then leaving)? We're having our first weekend away and looking to meet but trying to out any problems that may arise? Like any single guys been refused entry at the reception? We're at a double tree hotel and can't find anything about a manned or unmanned reception.

There is always the fire escape or if on the ground floor leave the window open - that might be fun!

i have never had any issues getting people back to rooms when using them for meets. they dont have to announce themselves at reception. go out and meet them then bring them to your room

Some hotels now have keycard entry systems to the lifts and access to accommodation areas.

Ask for a card for each of you, then meet your guy in the bar and pass him one of the keys so he can follow you up later.

Just be discreet and meet the gentleman outside. Got some funny looks from the security staff leaving late from a Hotel meet last time but wasn't a problem. Mr W

Both myself and partner have had hotel meets without a problem.

We tend to go for chain hotels where reception doesn't normaly ask any questions. If your worried have female check into room and you go 5 min after her straight up to room (obv get her to text you) and either get the person your meeting to walk straight up or have fem go down and meet him xx

Not to worry so much, I find it a bit of a turn on in fact. Most staff know what you're up to, so we just brazen it out. Had some really good meets in hotels!! It's great face watching, because they are trying to figure out what's going on lol

The only hotel you may have an issue with is the type that you need to use your room key to operate the lift to get to the required floor.

Otherwise they can just stroll in and make their way to your room without any issues.

Reception / hotel staff would have seen all sort of things before so will not be paying too much attention to whats going on.

You can request a key to be left at reception in the person name.

Youve paid for the room so your entitled to invite a friend in as long as they dont stay the night ......visitor could be a family friend meeting you to go out for a meal or delivering something youd forgotten...or simply popping in for a drink before your going out.

i dont see a problem

Thanks everyone, we wouldn't be the noisiest, and certainly wouldn't be trashing the room haha okaay don't feel so worried now, will hopefully be meeting folk out then inviting them back for a few hours. Sadly where we're staying they don't have a bar only a restaurant(not that I'm complaining it looks gorgeous in the pictures) but looking forward to it now!

Just picking up on what the poster said about not making to much noise first meet I had me and the female were both discussing things just at normal conversation levels.

There was also a lot of moaning g from us both.

Later that night when me and my bf were going out we were walking down the corridor and every room we passed you could hear everything. I was black affronted at spent the rest of the time in the hotel too scared to make eye contact with other guests lol

The only issue I have had from one chain of hotels is often at night as they tend to lock the door around 10.30pm thus requiring a key card or security to let you in.

Another problem I now foreseen is the car park which has those annoying reg plate cameras for not staying more than 2 hours. Not good when your having a great time and then get parking ticket letter through the post.

Hope it helps

My wife and I have entertained ladies, gents and couples at several hotels. Never had any issues. Just be sure to check in first and see if the lift requires a key card.

If not, simply let your guest know the room number and route. If so, meet him outside and bring him up. I don't think any hotel will mind.

The only time we had an issue was when the three of us checked into a very posh hotel together and they insisted on us having a second bed.

Just thought I would add that years ago I worked in a budget hotel, albeit in America but I am sure the same is true here. The staff and management know that sometimes rooms are used for adult fun. I was told during my training that "you might hear or see a room used for an orgy. Just be discreet and don't linger".

I worked in housekeeping and we were specially given gloves for stripping beds and told to expect lots of condoms after Valentines day. However in my ten months there I only found condoms in the bin, never on the floor or in the loo. This was a budget hotel near an airport so we had all sorts from truck drivers to business people, prostitutes and the occasional methamphetamine lab

Never had any issues with a hotel. The double tree will be manned reception but they don't care what you get up to as long as you're not having a rugby team back to your room. One good thing about the double tree - free cookie in check in. Enjoy.

a lot of people do not regularly use hotels. In addition, even as someone who had used hotels and worked in one, I still found the first hotel meet my wife and I had with a guy for a MMF a bit daunting. Part of that was wondering if hotel staff would guess what we were up to.

We've used a hotel before but it's our first time putting it to mote use than just a place to sleep haha. I asked because I had a friend a year or so ago try and get us into a travellodge for a couple of hours and we got refused entry with her there.

That sounds pretty unusual. I know hotels don't want extra guests who have not paid staying overnight but it's common for people to have friends visit for a drink or natter.....or sex.

I know on a few occasions my wife has booked a Teavelodge and had me with her one night and another man the next. The staff probably didn't notice.

Never had issues with a room. If only having someone visit for a period of time then no issue, apart from keeping the neighbouring rooms up! Haha

Just don't take them for breakfast if it's included and they weren't on the of occupancy lol

When we booked the room it asked for how many were staying in the room, I assume so they can give you the size of room needed for 2/3/4.

You do pay per guest. If you go to a hotel such as a Premier Inn where some rooms can accommodate 3 or 4 adults you will be asked how many adults and kids are staying. This is the case with the online form or over the phone.

Part of the reason is that they will charge a bit extra for a 3rd person, and will provide more towels, tea/coffee etc. More cleaning is usually required if three or four adults have stayed in a room.

But as for having a guest visit for a few hours, I cannot think of any hotel I have ever stayed in from budget to swanky that would have even noticed.

A small B&B or pub might notice you bringing a guest in, but a major chain hotel really won't.

Have you noticed that some hotels have lifts which require a key card to ascend, but not to descend? Ever wondered why? Because they know some people have guests over for a few hours.

Well they would have to leave at some point lol

Also with some hotels and booking sites you out in the occupancy then find towels for that many and breakfast for that many. That can also affect the price with some
