What's the real meaning of a wink ,? We thought it was to express interest but we've had so many winks and wink backs that then don't answer a mail saying thanks and a little about ourselves we often include a face pic

Makes us wonder why we bother responding to winks

Any thoughts ,?

each to their own...if a couple wink we send a message if they have a face photo on their profile we add one..if its a wink from a single guy it go's in the bin..(read profile ) connie x

But surely if we receive the first wink and mail their interested ,? Or are we fugly ? Singles get deleted straight away also

Think a few of them recognised almost definitely one cpl from Stirling as they blocked us before even a msg lol

My opinion too if someone winks u it lets u bypass there filters meaning they don't mind hearing from u!

That's what we do and think also but we've actually had to block 2 cpls who winked and constantly checked our profile fabbed our pics but refused to answer mail

I agree with this too although if I look at someone and I can't wink them sometimes I fab a pic to see if I get a response

Also fab pics coz we like but sometimes coz we like to show interest , a fb / Twitter style ability to comment on pics would be nice

By hiding I meant the ones who delete your mail sometimes and don't reply , we have plenty private face and full body pics we send on request

If I fab a pic it is because I like the pic, if I wanted to get in touch I would send a message. Maybe they meant it the same way.

If it's a couple who winked you it is probably one of them, then perhaps the other is not interested. Most couples have more pictures of the female (including us) which means a male my wink and set off the above sequence. Just a theory. Him

We take winks with a pinch of salt, in fact we don't take them seriously at all, they're just a bit of site froth. Can't say we've ever had a meet as a result of firstly receiving a wink.

We personally take a wink to mean "We like the look of your profile, please look at mine and see what you think". Obviously, when you send a message, then that is extra information to refine your opinion from. If somebody winks and then doesn't like your message or face pics then it makes sense that they don't peruse you any further.

We've had 2 social meets so far and both couples started off with a wink We also have our first playdate next week , what annoys us is the ones who wink mail ( then stop ) but regularly look at our profile and send a friends request when it's obvious they have no intention of meeting us that really annoys

If we wink we like the profile if we wink back we intend to arrange a meet we always answer a wink with a mail , again intention is to meet

It can be further complicated by who winked. Instance with us is she winked a couple and when I looked and we discussed after they winked back we thought err no not for us so that's a dead un.
